NC's Cash Splash
Thanks for the correction, I meant to write 299,319; not 219,319. However, the rest of my post is correct AFAIK, the odds from selling 299,319 is 1 in 100,000 (according to Van Denton, spokesperson for the lottery from a news article today in the News Observer) to win one million with 1 ticket. So I still have a 1 in 25,000 chance of winning. Good luck to everyone! One of us might be rich already! We will know soon enough.

Fooled by Randomness
truecritic, I'm not talking about arbitration between us. Wikipedia allows you to challenge the Gambler's Fallacy article, which you might want to do. Actually, I think it would behoove you to follow my advice that I've given now 2 times in a row and which I won't repeat. If you finally see the light, it will save you the embaressment you will surely suffer by the reception you will receive at Wikipedia if you try. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Arbitration_policy If you know

Arkansas Lottery vending machines coming soon
I love these do-gooders. Some people just can't seem to mind their own business. Busy-bodies. Always searching for something to complain about. I like the broad in the article who complains about nobody stopping her from smoking as a teen. I guess she had nothing to do with it. She was a victim. Unbelievable. Reminds me of an article I read recently. Some 19 year old volunteer fireman is suing the fire dept., the chief, the town and I don't know who else for 35 million dollars because they

Ga / Nc Str / Box Mid/Eve Hotttt!! This Week Only ..
Ask him the story of the 333 of 2008! Mind blowing-he ran with hunch after reading an article in the AJC I believe about lottery sales being down. We had been waiting for 333 for like EVER. He hung in there. Unfortunately I was out of state when they finally came and missed them. The members here at LP have shown me time and time again that there is money to be made in the lottery games. Anyone that tells you different just don't know how it can really be done!! I have to agree sweet404 peaches,

Maryland Lottery achieves 13th straight year of record sales
Not in the article but on MD's lottery website. Designated proceeds from the Mega Millions game benefit the Stadium Authority. In FY2009, $20,000,000 was contributed to the Stadium Authority.

Do you believe in "lucky" stores?
I bet a lady in Bishop, Texas believe in Lucky Stores . She's won 4 different times at the same store for a total of over $20,000,000! Most of her winnings have come from Scratch Offs though but she did hit the Pick 6 on time I think. Was a newspaper article last month about her and her winning at the same store. To me it seems most winnings happen at little gas stations or convenience stores. Don't recall very many winners from say larger grocery chains where they also sell.

Canadian gets 9 years for U.S. lottery scam
I never said anything about a one-time payment of $60,000 taking anybody's home away and neither did the article. The article said some individuals lost up to $60,000 AND many people lost their homes. Now although most of us here in Tennessee live in cardboard boxes or old burned out vans down by the river we still consider it somewhat unseemly that people in LA might consider people with a home and $60,000 to hand somebody, poor . I guess none of us Tennesseans would fit in out there i

Regarding Lottery pools: What if you do this??Increase your Chances of Winning
How about this. The main reason why we do not see a lot of jackpot winners in new your sweet million is because the pool of people playing is too small and less of the total combinations to win the jackpot are being played. Did i say pool of people. So every lottery game is just a pool of people playing. No wonder i just play $1 QUICK PICK. I wrote a post on the JACKPOT GAMES FORUM REGARDING THIS MATTER.HERE IS A LINK TO MY ORIGINAL ARTICLE http://powermillions.blogspot.com/2010/07/why-lottery-g
