Declining lottery sales prompt more Powerball jackpot changes
Well,I've been playing PB religiously for ages, mainly just hoping to hit $2 million second prize. The odds are less than half of my state's lotto game, and I was willing to spoon up $3 a ticket. The place I work is closed for the time being, so, I'm cutting way back on my lottery spending. No more PB. Back to Tx Lotto at a buck.
Personally, I think PB and MM really need to at least go back to $1 a ticket. Especially at the odds the jackpots are. I know sales drives jackpots, but if people ar

How high will PB go?
Then you have this. I'm sure with an at least $300,000,000 profit in 19 days, I don't think they care who or how many wins. This is at a $2.00 per ticket price sale so factor in the power play, you can add to it accordingly. If a third of the sales had the power play option you can add another $63+ million to the take in profit. Pretty sure that leaves them enough starting jackpots for the next 7 draws without figuring in the power play money. If needed. You add in what the state's (where applic

What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
Was replying to/about Floyd's post.
Paranoid/delusional concerning lotteries scanning self picks to avoid paying jackpots.
I don't know. Maybe I'm in the minority when it comes to conspiracies regarding lotteries scanning tickets to avoid paying jackpots.
I know I'm not paranoid. If I'm delusional, and I may be, it's only in the hopes and dreams of winning a major jackpot. But worrying about the lottery checking my numbers to keep me from winning? Nah.

Is Powerball just going to rot away?
I was exaggerating a bit about the billion, but I think you know what I was getting at. Lets face it, people don't get real interested in playing when the jackpots are less then 100M. That's not enough money, but I doubt anyone would turn it down if it was handed to them.
It starts getting around 500M and up everybody buys a ticket. People wanted larger jackpots, now they have them.
With the 302 million to one odds of hitting the MM, every legal age person in the US could buy a ticket and

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Woodro, hi I ve been finding that game somewhat hard to find lately but usually play at least 5 when I come across them, mostly at mom and pop places and out of the way gas stations (I know 5 isn t a lot for some folks around here but honestly with the $20+ tickets I don t normally draw/pull more than 5 or so at a shot). I have done pretty decently on it though, winning a $500 last fall, and just two weekends ago got a $100 star and another decent win ($30 if I recall) on a 5 ticket pull. This p

Jackpots and the Media Interest
Have you considered the Media Interest when you win a large jackpot? This will change your life in unknown ways. From the media surrounding your home and having your life story shared with the whole world. Would you hire a public relations adviser?
If you live in a State that requires you to do a media availability interview how will you cope? Would you relax and enjoy the press interview? Thankful for your 15 minutes of fame.
All thoughts and concerns are welcome here.

Some players unhappy with UK Lotto game changes
I like the rollover part if I am understanding it correctly. It means that after 5 draws they must have winner. To me that is better and will mean more jackpots won
In Illinois our lotto which starts at $2M and adds $250k each rollover finally was won after rolling up to $22.5M. I would love a system that caps amount of rollovers
I would rather see more smaller jackpots won then rare jackpot wins of bigger pots

Kentucky Lottery reports highest monthly sales in state history
Overall sales for the month were $115.5 million, which is $33.2 million (or 40.3%) more than budgeted. This shatters the previous record sales month from January 2016, when a world-record Powerball jackpot of $1.6 Billion led to sales of $105.1 million.
It's a fact KY lottery players will buy more tickets when either the PB or MM jackpots are huge so it should be no surprise more tickets were sold when both jackpots were huge. And when those sales are high, sales on other games should go up t

Everything you know about the fate of lottery winners is probably wrong, according to science
People who win big lottery jackpots blow their money in a few years
The media loves misery and loves to spread it far and wide, giving people the illusion that the misery is very common. I recently came across an article about 21 winners who blew it all, making you think there was this lottery curse and it was a real common risk. Except when I looked at the specifics, they dug up stories from the 1980s and from other countries like Canada and the UK. Out of the 21, 11 were from the US. So it'
