Lottery-Style Drawing Picks Ballot Order
The California Secretary of State held a lottery-style drawing Monday to determine the order of candidate's names on the recall ballot.Twenty-six letters were placed inside film canisters and then drawn randomly to set the alphabetical order for candidates. The first letter: R, followed by W and Q. Candidates with last names starting with those letters will appear high on some ballots, then revolve to the bottom in others before moving near the middle. The random exercise stems from a court ruli

$13.5 million PB Winner is anonymous!!
ANONYMOUS WINNERSI was wondering about the option of remaining anonymous after a win. Is this right part of the individual state's game laws or is it part of a state's right to privacy law? Which state would have jurisdiction- the state of my domicile or the state from which I bought the ticket? Do you know which states allow you to remain anonymous? I am mostly interested in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Arizona. Anonymous via Internet. Is it possible to remain anonymous when collecting the money

TOPIC: If you ever won the Powerball....
I know what I would do...Leave my current job as soon as the first check was deposited in the bank !I had a great job as a process analyst with Lucent/Agere... but alas, I got the Nafta-Shafta and it's now in mexico... I went to a computer learning school because they basically lied and said an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) would be the ticket to a new career in the mid $50k range... they completely neglected to mention the fact that you also need a bachelor's degree and 10 years e

Yes and No
SUSAN,I stand with Jazzy and Harry! Most ladies were not in any kind of combat or dmz. Those that were in 'NAM (were mostly in MASH units) saw some very terrible things that happened to soldiers on all sides as well as civilians because their leader had his personal goal, himself. I had the pleasure of visiting Hanoi Hilton. My group hit what is known as Parrots Beak where the Vietnamese hid in Cambodia with the local tribes were used as shields. Many of us were hurt on Thunder Road. Ask

need help
I don't know of any astrology pickers, but how about a for-whatever-reason picker? This software analyzes the past results and projects the same patterns into its picks. It marches to the beat of the same drummer, so to speak. It's pretty deadly with its picks. Doesn't win every time (wouldn't that be nice!), but it nailed its first jackpot after just 2 months of release and has amassed more big wins in its first 6 months than all the rest combined.. forever! It works a lot like a slot machine. I

Hypothetical Question II
I have read the rules and regulations regarding lotteries. I have seen nothing that states that an entity could not be in posession of a winning ticket. These entities could include: corporations, charities, trusts, churches, etc. That leads me to this scenario: Your are in posession of a winning ticket to a huge jackpot. The media hype is thick and privacy is of the utmost concern. Lotteries are required by law to release the names of winners. However, you are not required to appear at a press
