Montana Lottery aims to prohibit bulk purchases after group takes gamble on $1.6 million jackpot
Wait, are you saying that you are in favor of wealthy buying groups swooping in and buying jackpots?
Also, you make some kind of allegation about Pick 6 games being made harder. That's not what is happening here, and it's a Pick 5 game, not Pick 6. There was literally nothing in this article about making games harder to win.

So how's that jackpot win. Oh, that's right. You haven't won one. Most of us here don't stand on the mountain top claiming we are the master of this or that. We do our work quietly. Try new things. Add in filters or end a filter. You have to change things up. If your data isn't quite there. You have to expand the research. Figure out the formulas. If it was easy. We all would be winning jackpots.

Mega Millions and Powerball
When jackpots are comparable I'll buy pb tickets when mega is higher I'll buy mm
I dont think they care about a bunch of pissed off boomers putting their money elsewhere. Their timing was terrible but they're getting the results they wanted even if they haven't had a billion dollar run up, they're making more money selling half as many tickets.

Games most played
I joined a pool and I only play the games the pool plays. The pool only plays games with big jackpots like Powerball and Mega Millions.
Winning with the pool is about the same as winning a state game on you own except with much better odds.

Oregon Lottery proposes rules regulating courier services and preventing bulk ticket purchases
I'm one of them idiots shelling out the $5 for MM.
I agree 100% with you. Thought it was promised bigger and faster jackpots. Well that is not true and Powerball still beats them hands down, IMHO in that regard!

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Yes, it's very telling the advertised jackpot increase is only $10 M after 8 rollovers.
Do you understand how the game and its financing work? Both PB and MM have always started with artificially high jackpots that aren't fully funded, and never had more than the minimum increase until there's enough cash to fully fund the jackpot. The smaller jackpot of the old format was funded quickly. With the new format the jackpot would remain artificially high for more drawings with exactly the same

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Dude what are you talking about? Apparently you don't know what a Fast Play ticket is. Fast Play tickets print out of the lottery terminal or a lottery vending machine. YOU instantly know if you have won or not by looking at the ticket or scanning it. There are NO waiting until the numbers are drawn. Arizona feels that there is a problem with some people trying to buy up all the Fast Play tickets in the Progressive games, which are jackpots that continually grow until someone wins. In my area of

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Personally, I don't think anyone even buys bulk Fast Plays as it doesn't make sense mathematically. Fast Plays are like slot machines which are intended to give the house an 80%+ advantage. Jackpots on the other hand have fixed odds -- the more combinations you play the more you're likely to win.
So gonna wait and see if the AZ Lottery gives any explanation for the reasoning behind the decision.
