$25M question: Who is credible?
I'm surprised a case like this would ever come to court. There doesn't appear to have been a clear agreement about whether tickets were to be purchased every drawings or only when the jackpot was a certain size, whether small winnings were to be accumulated or used, whether participants had to continue to contribute to stay current or whether anyone was to post the results of the tickets purchases. There certainly was no agreement to share any winnings of friends or acquaintances of the pool m

The Texas Multi-State Lottery Battle!
Rebeckah,I agree with you, the Texas Lottery Commission does not listen to its players. If you read through the articles, they say about how they're listening on the multi-state game issue. That shows how FAKE they are. They absolutely DON'T listen to the players on that decision, because frankly most players wouldn't know or understand the economics behind which multi-state game to choose.Where they have gone BAD is adding a bonus ball to their game. What a mistake! When they go with MM or

What about Syndicates?
I am always very suspicious of anyone whose first post is about a syndicate. If you would like to point me to a news story showing a grand prize winner of one of your pyramid-scheme syndicates , I'd love to see it. I have no idea what research you're talking about, but whatever it is, it's dead wrong. Most jackpots are won by individuals, not syndicates .To Lottery Post members: when you see the term syndicate , be especially cautious. It is a catch-phrase for an affiliate-style internet

NY Take 5 CINCO DE MAYO/bonus ball
While I am very critical of the NY Lottery forcing some big winners to receive annuity payments, they will be doing something very positive: trying a five day promotion with the still-popular 5/39 TAKE FIVE game. From Monday 5/5 until Friday 5/9, the NY Lottery will be drawing an EXTRA Take Five number, after the five regular numbers are drawn. There will be EIGHT prize levels, the four additional prizes will be 4+B, 3+B, 2+B, and 1+B. Three of the four extra levels will be funded by unclaimed pri

Need advice
CashOnly--at the time we had the pool, in mid 90's there was no Cash Option in TX, but it would be important to consider it now that it is available.

mich. new game comming .25 cent to .99cen
CASH Only's Change Game : All bets 25c-99c and all tickets are QUICK PICKS as in Georgia, and the upcoming Michigan game. However, the play style is a 3/99 mini-lotto game. Match just ONE number (odds 1:11) and win a FREE PLAY of a ticket in the original denomination you played (25c-99c.) Match 2 numbers and win 100x your original bet (eg, you bet 53c, you win $53.) Match ALL THREE numbers, and you win a share of the top prize pool equal to the pro

odds are odds....regardless of coincidences
The process for picking the numbers on the second ticket allow for some, or all, of the same numbers chosen for the first ticket. Therefore the number pool you are chosing from is the same for each ticket, therefore the odds of picking the one winning combination is the same. IF you pick the numbers yourself , AND exclude numbers chosen on the first ticket, THEN you have reduced the numbers available in the pool and have ever so slightly increased you chances. My original observation was based on

Has anyone tried a Lottery Pool?
Check out http://members.shaw.ca/lottogroups/ for an example of a lottery pool with no fees (all the money is used to buy tickets) and no tax.
