Interesting happening within our lottery-pool at work... no not really
It sounds more like a investment firm running a lottery pool with zero experience or apparently four pools, two each on the next 2 drawings. Having a rookie run the pool for a record jackpot is bad enough, but arbitrarily deciding to raise the price to get into the pool is a disaster waiting to happen. There will be thousands of one time pools for the next drawing with the potential of thousands of lawsuits and this one has to be in the top ten.

You know what this Powerball first billion does? It makes Mega Millions look bad...
They already changed it once and got record jackpots recently. I would prefer they stay the same as I would rather spend $1.00 for better odds, and I buy MM more often than PB because of that. So I don't think PB is making MB look bad at all, if anything PB looks bad and a lot less likely to win. People are only buying into the hype because it finally got so high and broke all records because they made it harder to win. So most would rather play MM when they are lower.

$675 MILLION: POWERBALL SETS ALL-TIME LOTTERY JACKPOT RECORD
The author really needs to check the facts. $675 million is nowhere near being a 'world record'. Spain's El Gordo lottery regularly has jackpots that are in the billions. In 2012 there was a $3.3 billion dollar jackpot.

$675 MILLION: POWERBALL SETS ALL-TIME LOTTERY JACKPOT RECORD
It will definitely be at least $800M by Saturday. My guess is $850-$900M. It will definitely have Mega Millions record cash value beat.

$400 MILLION: Powerball jackpot surges on rollover
Well based on that data I posted of last year's big jackpot, if it were to roll over three more times, by the time of the drawing it would be at least $750-$800 million. I remember watching the mega millions drawing a few years ago when it hit a record $656 million and they said if there were no winners the pot would jump to $950 million.

New York instant scratch off tickets - new tickets with less odds to win
I bought ten bux worth, gave my mom a 2x3x cashword. She won ten, most she ever won, and she gave it back to me for gas money. I lost on my 5$ worth of ticket, so even. Mostly saving up for a laptop so I'm not spending a fortune on batteries to record stuff on camera every day. Rechargeables are an option if I feel like going to Wal-Mart, I guess.

All Or Nothing Drawing In North Carolina
You should look at Texas record on the all or nothing game, but it is drawn with balls, but the same winnings, very few and far far in between. Now we have a new Triple chance game that is paying out a lot better, but it is only drawn once at night. They need to make this one 4 times a day and move the all or nothing to once a day.

Would you quit playing altogether should you win a major jackpot...
A major jackpot win would pretty much end my participation in PB and MM. The only exception would be if the jackpot was near a record high then I would be tempted. I am sure the goal for most here is to win the big one so why would anyone still regularly play after finally winning a once in a lifetime game?

Powerball sucks
I think Power ball want small guaranteed jackpots to start as their base and then jump up and keep growing and growing until someone wins this big jackpot. The world record is $656 million set by Mega Millions shared by 3 Mega Millions Jackpot winning tickets. Power ball holds the single winning ticket in Florida at $590.5 million. blackjack26241, I think you should play more Mega Millions ($1 per draw) instead of Power ball ($2 per draw) from now on.

More lottery winners using trusts to accept prizes anonymously
I think that it is dreadful that a individual who wins the lottery that it is made public record.it is like pulling a sign around ones neck that says ROB ME PLEASE!!! it is wrong and I would definitely set up a trust way before the ticket was claimed...I don't want anybody to know if I win accept the person who sets up my trust and a lawyer.
