could there be another matrix change soon for powerball or mega millions? about every 3 years or so there is usually a matrix change so i wondred if anybody else thought they might tinker with it sometime in 2008....

How did you do, codmander? I struck out. Not even one number. 34 came out last night on mega millions. That one is out. 56 was in the mega millions draw so maybe 55 or 46 afterall? I really don't think they will, but they are maybe numbers. I thought it would roll to 37 million, but it rolled to 17 million. (oh well, had the 7 right anyway.) And with two 19's in the draw for mega millions, our 8 looks good to go.

Lol, that is why I started playing mega millions in the first place. I had never heard of the game until all of the numbers I picked for powerball came out on mega millions one time and I heard it over the radio. Since then, I have picked all six numbers 4 times. Masha...the drawing for Mega Millions is held in Atlanta every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 PM ET. It may go on the road once in a great while, for instance when a new state joins the group. As far as computer versus ball drawn, Mega Millions is a ball drawn game. For those of you who would like visual confirmation go to the Mega Millions web site, click on the current draw and there will be a link to see the video of the drawing.

littlemanjen...a state is either a member of Powerball or Mega Millions. Georgia was once a member of Powerball but dropped out a few years ago to form/join The Big Game, which became Mega Millions. I do not know if this single membership is a policy of these organizations or just the way it has played out to this point. Most likely a state has to choose between Powerball and Mega Millions.
