Two winners to share record A$106 million Australian lottery
Congratulations to the TWO ticket holders and everyone that they choose to share with!
In reading this article, the MAJOR statement that most excited me was: Australians can take their winnings in a tax-free, lump sum. Woo Hoo, no 34%+ taxes (State and Federal/National) withdrawn!!! A TRUE what you see is what you get prize.

Arkansas lottery director turns down $11,000 housing allowance
....But Passailaigue turned it down. He said that during negotiations for the lottery job, he had made a request for possible temporary housing assistance, and that Thornton had misunderstood him......
Other than public disclosure there doesn't seem much else contained in this article. Temporary housing could have meant a hotel room in a safe area of the city accessible to lottery headquarters until he could find permanent housing.

Magicial ways to win in lottery
What is there to explain?
His belief that he won because of his study of wicca is just that, a belief, unfounded in facts. It has to be repeatable to have any validity. He just picked the right numbers like any other normal person could have done. In that article it explains he had to share that prize. The other 3 were not Wiccans.

Tax protection question
I'm sorry maybe I was not clear enough, the article i read said the money was divided into other trusts, to prevent Future taxes, not what would be expected to be paid now.
That's what I wonder about, I know when it's my turn I'll have to pay taxes on the payout amount, but I was looking down the road 2+ years later.

Tennessee Lottery shortfall requires reserves
Thanks Todd for giving me credit for this story I try and send any pertinent information to you instead of posting it. Since you have said so many times if we find something like a lottery related story to forward it to your PM box.
I try and keep abreast of Tennessee's lottery ever since they screwed up their lottery by switching from real live ball drawings to computers to draw numbers. I still cant believe that Hargrove did this it pains me that somebody with her experience would tak

Hitting the jackpot: Rebecca Hargrove's winning strategy
Maybe you should read the article again. Apparently, you don't have to buy lottery tickets, so you can see to it that she won't get a dime of your money. I'm skeptical that the lotteries couldn't get the same performance for less money, but her base income is very modest for a chief executive of a company that nets a profit of several hundred million per year, and most of it is based on increasing that profit each year. When the governor reduces the state's annual budget, or at least holds it st

Hitting the jackpot: Rebecca Hargrove's winning strategy
I fail to understand why some people like to control others. If someone of sane mind chooses to spend his money on the lottery, who are we to try and take the lottery from him?? I'm too intoxicated with freedom :-)
I cant seem to open the video on the article :-(
