proven lotto prediction!!
I didn't just fall off turnip truck yesterday, it was last week. I do understand what's going on here, how the boards and predictions work. I think in this case you missed the context of the thread. The man is being asked to make predictions and whether he cashed in any winning tickets, which implies actual play not just predictions for fun. I would post Pick-3 and Pick-4 predictions I play because it doesn't matter to the prize pool. I would never post my Pick-5 and Pick-6 tickets

Definition of State Lottery
The poll needs another choice, Regardless, someone will beat the odds. You don't see many Harvard graduates waiting in line to buy lottery tickets. I don't entirely agree with that. I had many years of casino work and saw pit bosses with very little formal education watch very educated people get financially torn to shreds by the games. I remember one old timer saying he'd rather see some Einstein with a degree in probablilites from an Ivy League school come up to a game than

convicted felons and lottery winnings
LOTTOMIKE There, you have done it again, trying to make me think. Your posts are great. This one is so tough that it makes my head hurt and blood spurt out of my eyes. <G> I suppose one could argue that when a person serves his time in prison he has satisfied his debt to society. Therefore, he should be able to buy and collect winnings from a Lottery. That is why I voted yes in your poll. However, I also agree with other replies that the money should go to compensate the victi

PA's next online game
The pros of the lucky for Life game: 1: Its still a ball generated game 2: It does carry a long term guaranteed minimum payout for the grandprize holder. 3: Its odds are okay. The negative: 1: It has a low volume of winners each play 2: Paying 2$ for a one line ticket doesnt compare to Match6 . 3: They have an instant 2dollar ticket that has better odds called Win for Life. (and it pays out 1k per week! for the grandprize) Overall I disagree though with Four4me on the fac

Emoticons
Hi Rick. I'd forgotten I started this thread. Interesting to see it pop up again. I'm not bothered by emoticons, wasn't bothered by them when I started the thread. I do, however, feel as I felt then about them. I believe the use of negative emoticons is a statement about the person who uses them. The ones I listed in the poll serve as a means of for a person to attempt to sling an insult at another member without coming out and doing so in words. Eighteen people voted here, whic

I am trying mightily to get this new stuff out there, and just when I'm on the brink of posting it I realized there's something else I have to do to it. I am going to try and post it today -- we'll see. By the way, I do like your idea of marking your own posts on the home page. In that same light, one thing that p

I have wanted to say that for some time Jack. Frankly, I think the LQ/Kander phenomenon is damaging LQ, which I dislike seeing happen. Thank you! As a member here, I have been reluctant to make any statement in these regards (seems to take a strange twist when members do.) It wouldn't surprise me that it will not happen to me after posting on this thread. What I see is eroding this site. I'm amazed in the increasing amount of member on member criticism produced within these threads. So at

Todd: If you'd prefer I don't post on the forums I'll cease doing so. If you believe I'm doing something that breaks the rules, or something you don't allow others to do, point that out and I'll cease doing that. At the moment I neither like, nor dislike it here. If you'll be more precise in making your point I'll do my best to answer, or change my behavior. I'm not sure which poll you're referring to. But we needn't circle around the issue. If you've been reading the threads yo

Posting lottery theories
Quote: Originally posted by Coin Toss on July 11, 2006 That's why every now and then we should do a thread with nothing but disinformation, to throw the lottery commissions off.... A recent study found that tickets purchased between 11:03 am and 2:14 pm for a Wednesday draw have a 63.8% better chance of hitting. Could make a neat poll, too: Who should be the board's Minister of Disinformation? The board already has a Minister of Disinformation on
