Clerk's lottery ticket error wins woman $1 million
Because the odds of hitting the jackpot are so high, this is a good example of why it might be better to use the megapilier. A cool $1 million is a nice consolation prize! BTW, all the TV stations ran Pamela's story and it was on the front page of several newspapers as was the story about the PowerBall winner at Christmas time. If someone wants to remain anonymous, I don't suggest playing in Kentucky.

Wearing a disguise to claim lottery winnings. Is it allowed in Mega Millions & Powerball
Hi everyone!!! Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend. Does anyone know if it is okay to wear a full face mask, or some other disguise like sunglasses, hats, scarfs, etc to collect the winnings of the Mega Millions or Powerball??? You know, like during the press conference. I've seen it happen overseas like in China and Israel but not here in America. When I win (God willing) I would want to stay anonymous and in my state of VA and even NC you can't claim winnings by a blind trust. Help, help, help

Mega Millions Tickets Wanted
I hope folks didn't misunderstand my request. Here in Florida there is NO WAY to remain ANONYMOUS. By publicly announcing you won your life gets ruined in the process of winning. So if there's anyone out there willing to help with my original request, I'd sure appreciate it

If you want to claim jackpot anonymously, how do you sign the back of the ticket?
In NC it states: Q: If I should win a large top prize, do I have the option of remaining anonymous with regard to the media and the public?A: The NCEL will consider a winner s name, city/county, and the prize amount a matter of public record, unless the winner produces a valid protective order or Address Confidentiality Program authorization card. I do recall reading somewhere (and it could have changed since) that you could do a Blind Trust or possibly an LLC. So to me, a Blind Trust may be

Canada lottery winner robbed, beaten
Oh my goodness, how sad!! In today's economy, people are so desperate, it's not surprising that this happened. I agree with everyone. Why can't lottery winners remain anonymous for their protection? It's scary!!

Calif. lottery winners try to remain as anonymous as possible
Lottery officials are legally required torelease the winner's name, where the ticket was purchased and the amount won, he said I thought winners in California could remain anonymous.

Prison guard wins $54 million lottery jackpot
Remaining anonymous is always an option. There are blind trusts, LLCs, etc. Unfortunately, thanks to shows like Jon and Kate plus 8, Jersey Shore, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and other such drivel on tv many people in American Society think becoming famous and turning into a celebrity is a value of the highest magnitude. Thankfully many people on this forum seem to know better.

Man wins £2.6M lottery jackpot, but doesn't wake wife
Congratulations to then! But I don't understand why they went public about it. The UK lottery gives winners to option a remaining anonymous and the vast majority, very wisely do. They are going to have people pestering them until the money is gone.
