Sex offender wins Alaska lottery that aids sex abuse victims
How could you possibly know? The article only says that he was convicted of abusing a minor. That's nothing more than a generic legal term that tells us he and a minor had some kind of encounter that was deemed to be of a sexual nature. He could have had consensual intercourse with a minor who was one week shy of turning 18, or he could have forcibly raped a minor of any age. In that case, chemical castration could prevent him from repeating that specific offense. OTOH, he could have exposed him

Colorado Lottery investigates 21-time prize winner
Why are you so angry about my reponses to Jarasan. Do you know the person who is in this article. Like you or anyone else on this, I review threads over and over again. And if a question or comment is presented or addressed to me I will try to repond. That's only, the polite thing to do, unless the conversation starts to get rediculous and then it's time to ignore it.
Thanks again KY Floyd.

How online gamblers unmasked cheaters
I know that a lot of people believe the Lottery shouldn't be involved in any hard core games. I wonder if this kind of article would prompt them to reconsider...some state lotteries have been running video lottery for years.
I also wonder how many people know that a lot of the video gaming happening on Indian reservations is simply Bingo software with graphics to make it look like poker/whatever.

How to Prove Your Lottery IS Fixed?
The real culprit is the ball machine, not computer programs.
With all the pretests, rotating of the tubes, and rotation of sets of tubes, my belief is that in itself ruins any history of a particular tube, because we are not told what the results of the pretests, and the new rotation positions are.
I wish I had saved the article from the N.Y daily news, back when I was living there 10 years ago. There was an item written about the rotations in the N.Y. games. When the official in the news

Michigan Lottery starts two big new games
There was an article in a Detroit paper yesterday. The Mich Commish was complaining about what the Economy was doing to lottery sales and said that the bright spot was Keno. Getting back to the point, he also mentioned the new $10 scratcher.
As far as the raffle goes the disappointing thing about this one is they decided to lower the number of big prizes. There used to be 25 $100,000 prizes and now there are only 20. With few enough big prizes out there already, now there are even fewer.

Is the Lottery only for humans?
It seems every year that article or one like it shows up in one of the tabloids.
The magazine is dead, but the story lives on... as do sales of shaker pens and kitties.

Lancaster County man claims $86M Powerball lottery jackpot
Hmmmmmmm, I don't think you read the whole article before commenting. In the second to last paragraph it says, On behalf of the group, Jean Edwards presented the winning ticket for validation yesterday at Lottery headquarters in Middletown after consulting with legal and financial counsel.
Did you believe they took the annuity? No, they took the cash option.

Don't Spend Your Jackpot!
Almost every article on What to do if you win a jackpot tells you to put the money away and to not make any rash purchases. Some even say to wait a year before touching it.
My question to you all is: Would you be able to DO NOTHING for a year with your jackpot?

What Would You Buy First After Winning Big
I know I was wondering about the whole kids thing if you won. I think I'm just very paranoid, but to be on the tv or newspapers with my kids.......some lunatic out there would be like ahhhh! Kidnapping score! Heck, I'd fear for my animals too lol. Did you ever see the article about some guy who used a sharpie marker to apply a fake mustache? He also wore sunglasses, a hat, and alot of baggy clothes for his conference. Can't recall where he was from. haha. We can all go in disguise!
