Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Multiplier is included in base price - Oh alright i was confused by that part, now things click in my mind. Because the lower prizes are more likely to be won, in a real drawing the players would probably be happier Yea that was same logic of monopoly game, more winners make more people happy. How did they turn out for them? I have a feeling these same big shot lottery people who was thinking MMC was best idea in long time, are the same people cheering for this game change to h

Theyre both up there...Wouldnt it be cool if someone hit both??
For people with your belief system, they've invented a MUSL game just for you that does nothing but dole out smaller jackpots. I don't get why then you're still raining on the large jackpot parade. You have a spread the wealth lottery game, you have state lotteries that have smaller jackpots, how does it negatively affect you if one person wins a large jackpot from games designed to have one person win a large jackpot. It has no impact on you either way so let it be. And let the good times roll.

Are Mega Millions sales really that bad now?
The $100 million jackpot mark was usually when casual lottery players jumped in and started buying tickets. $100 million jackpots were rare but now it seems like a $100 million jackpot happens every month. Powerball needs only 6 rollovers to hit the $100 million mark. So if you miss a $100 million jackpot, just wait about a month and you'll get another opportunity. There is no sense of urgency like before for casual players. Now the jackpots need to be $250 mil or more to get the casual playe

Is it game over for the Texas Lottery?
From a few years ago, but I doubt much has changed: The 10 States That Pay Out the Biggest Lottery Jackpots Texas is #4. Here's a more recent one with a more current breakdown of where the money goes: 10 states with the biggest lotto jackpots

Should we boycott Mega Millions?
I'm beginning to wonder if we should boycott Mega Millions. They promised huge jackpots with the new matrix, but the jackpots have been anaything but huge. It can never seem to get above $200 million. A new, HARD matrix needs to be put in place because it's way too easy for some to win still. Odds need to be at least 1 in 500 trillion. Also, the game is rigged to let California win most of the time. California needs to be kicked out of all MUSL games, or have their winnings taxed at a 95% rat

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
In this case, the second drawing occurs only if the jackpot is won. I agree, clarification is needed, and I hope they put together a thorough demonstration. I crunched some numbers based on one of the larger state's projected Monopoly sales. Using this to gauge estimates for the other participating states, it is possible that the game could roll many times without a jackpot winner. This is what worries me about the low jackpot cap. High jackpots fuel higher sales, so if you have low jackpots

The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure!
Well jj, before the matrix change MM paid out 8 to 12 jackpots a year. In another week this year will be half over and so far there's been 5 jackpots so it's on a pace to pay 10 for 2014. Considering two drawings a week that's not a whole lot of 'fleecing'.

Back to minimum jackpots again on MM and PB
When are they ever going to make these games actually hard to win? Winners are making a mockery of these games and laughing all the way to the bank. Both need to at least be 5 + 1 games with matrix of 1 - 999,999 on white balls and 1 - 500,000 on bonus balls. I'd like to see those games be won really often lol. Both games are bound to go bankrupt due to being fleeced by too many winners.

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
The new $5 national game is called Monopoly Millionaire's Club. It is launching October 19th. It will be accompanied by a second chance themed TV game show that is projected to start in February 2015 ($1 million prize). For the lottery there will be NO billion dollar jackpot or high 9 figure jackpots. Anyone who says this is lying. The game is very similar to Lotto Max in Canada. Worse odds (overall 1 in 10), though. Its jackpot will start at $25 million and be capped at $50 million. This game i

Systems Do Work...
Even if all the LP members contributed a buck to a LP PB pool, we would get a not very good 0.04% chance of winning the jackpot, but we should get a few $100 winners. I've watched the prediction board over the years where every member can contribute at least ten predictions for every game played in the US and I've never seen anyone match all the numbers in a jackpot game with jackpots exceeding $5M. There have been some 5of5 matches but those games jackpots seldom exceed $1M. There have been
