Progress at what cost ?
The person who invented the wheel is probably turning over in his grave when he sees its applications in the world today and he never got a penny for the idea .RJOh

Did anyone notice the awesome 3rd tier Calif Mega Millions prize?
Todd, Squat might be an exaggeration, but one of the other state has five 2nd prize winners and each get $250,000 and California has three 2nd prize winners and it divides ~$250,000 among them makes MegaMellionsCalif and MegaMillions look like two different games. California shares the MM jackpot and gets the bragging rights of the MM game for a game that's only played in California.RJOh

Did anyone notice the awesome 3rd tier Calif Mega Millions prize?
All the States have a pari-mutuel back up plan if there are more winners than they planned for, I just can't figure how how California plan works. Last week New York had five 5+0 for $250,000 each, so its plan must allow for at least $1,250,000 to be paid out at the 2nd prize level. California paid out just a little more than $250,000 to all three of its winners this time.RJOh

CA Prizes
It would be interesting if one of the States that boarders California try to join the MegaMillion game, if they succeeded they would get a pool of players from California if California didn't change their payout structure.RJOh

Did anyone notice the awesome 3rd tier Calif Mega Millions prize?
I know I'm beating a dead horse but 5+0 prize (07/12/05) paying just $84,494 when under the old prize structure they would have gotten $175,000. I got to say it again - the new and improved payout MegaMillions amounts don't mean squat in California.RJOh

Winning a Jackpot, Luck or Fate/Destiny?
If I ever win a lottery jackpot it will mean my plan worked because I pick my numbers. I plan to win ever time I play but so far my plans haven't worked and I accept the fact that if it ever does, I'll be lucky.RJOh

Calif. Lottery uses trick as Dems continue undermining Mega Millions
Just6ntlc may be too young to play the lotteries, he/she doesn't sound like any Democrat that I know. But then I could be wrong because some of my friends are Republicans and I never knew until they ran in the local elections and asked for my support.RJOh

Will you win tonights MegaMillions ?
If I don't win, it won't be because I didn't play. If I win anything I will be one of the few or if I win nothing I will be one of the many. Only 1 of every 40 tickets sold wins anything.RJOh
