Anonymity
Those of us obsessed with the lottery results (like me) tend to forget, there are many other rich people out there in the world, such as, athletes, singers, business men/women who don't get to remain anonymous. They just learn how to blend in (outside of their jobs) with others and also how to say no to people who ask for money. I think these state lottery commissions need to do a better job of educating big winners how to function after striking it rich and perhaps we will then have less hor

Police: Fla. Lotto winner buried under concrete
An awful ending to this story. I'm so sorry for his family. Absolutely why I would claim anonymous...you just never know.

Lottery Winners & Anonymity
There was a 64 million dollar winner in Texas listed as A B Revocable Living Trust , apparently a type of trust used to minimize estate taxes by splitting marital assets into shares for each partner. It would appear that the legal entities created by trusts and incorporation can be used to put a corporate veil between the winners and the public. In such situations, the winners are not anonymous, it's just that the beneficiaries of the legal entities that won are obfuscated and not widely publici

What Should Your State Do To Improve The Lottery?
States could improve their lotteries by allowing winners to remain anonymous - they do in Australia. States could also improve their lotteries, and increase their revenue, by offering a subscription service, open to all - Massachusetts offers such a service and raises more revenue as a result; which is the whole point of state lotteries.

Florida sheriff fears lottery winner murdered
This is one reason why all winners should be allowed to be anonymous. In this day and age, and the relative attitude of some people, it is better to be unknown. Find the body.

Store manager charged after winning lottery
Somebody called in an anonymous tip. That's what happens when you don't keep your mouth shut. I don't like that rule. As long as the employees are buying them like everyone else, what's the problem?

Fla Fantasy 5 hottest number combinations to use and other tipZ
Hey Recoverey.. I would lay cool a bit as the Fla lottery F5 officials are still screwing with the numbers because its Holiday time.. Look at all the latest (all odd and all even numbers) hitting over and over.. Plus of (Course) the 1-9 numbers in column 1 of record breaking statistics plus the absolute extreme changes from one combo to the other with High sums to low sums.. The best time to put some real bucks down with smart picks is after new years is over and especially from spring and summe

Should Lottery Commissions Be Obligated To Maintain Your Anonymity?
I am so very thankful, that I live in a state, where you can claim the prize anonymously. When I win, that is what I will do. Although I do know of many people, who would love the popularity and attention they would get, with their picture plastered everywhere....I am a very private person, and I would fear for my safety. I know there are people that would shoot and kill you, for $100 bucks or less, it happens all the time. I have small children, and would fear kidnapping of myself, or my kids.

A Lottery Delema--Winfall or just fall?
Is that book of Questions like the game how much would it take? Its a fun game that I used to play in college but it does what my post did, get people to thinking but letting folks in on your secrets and greeds. Some attack your responses others might hold it against you. I havent played it in over 20 years and wouldnt try it now. Well I guess I do with some of the lottery polls out there but here its all anonymous fun where noone knows who or where we are. (except for Todd who can locate the ex

Hey, What About The Losers?
On the claim form, there was a separate section for your consent to be photographed and it was optional to sign it. When I made my claim, I didn't sign the consent section initially and they offered me a baseball cap and a T-shirt to sign it. I've been watching the website and my picture hasn't been posted yet so I think that your chances of remaining anonymous are fair so long as it's just the $1,000 prize. The claim form also requires you to write a story about how you felt when winning the pr
