If I Could Save Time In A Bottle...
This is true. I read once where this couple envisioned building a church with their jackpot winnings. And they won. I'll have to find that article. Hmmm, maybe instead of Mansion and Maserati we should be thinking soup kitchen , homeless shelter lol............

Mega lottery winners to leave 'check-by-check' days
Is the article correct when it says he is only 47 years old? Pics make him (and his wife) look 20 years older. I wish them a lot of luck and happiness.

South Georgia couple wins $270M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Why is it incredible that they hit MM with all low numbers considering the matrix ? As Lucky Larry speculated, they chose the MB of 10 for October, but the article I saw suggested that there wasn't any specific reason for choosing it. Since they apparently had only 5 birthdays to choose from they were guaranteed at least 5+0, given the results.

St Jude Dream Home Raffle (Boise/Treasure Valley)
People who have won a lot of prizes on game shows have got into serious tax binds. Not sure if this is true, but I read an article by a former contestant that said the IRS actually has people that watch the game shows and tracks how much people win. when it's over a certain amount, here they come...

Lottery winner surprised ticket worth $250,000
Notice that 150 appears several times in this article? Great story! 71 years old and worked all his life. Now he won't need to decide between buying food or prescriptions.

Pair arrested for stealing lottery tickets for 3 years
tntea, I never worked in a convenient store, so I'm not sure..but aren't tickets like inventory? I mean, if I were working at a furniture store and a bedroom set was missing, it would be obvious that someone stole it or didn't turn in the invoice and pocketed the money. However, a small lamp or accessory might be easier to hide, but it still gets counted and would be noticed. I realize a ticket is small and easy to pocket, but I assume the store pays for them and has to keep track of the quantit

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
your comments and Rick's have nothing to do with the article Sure they do. The article is about seizure of property, and that's exactly what my post was about. The man bought a lottery ticket with money from a sting operation. It was never his money. Would it have been any different if the money had been from a sale to a real drug user instead of a sting operation? Would the money then have been his? That's where this thread started. Some people don't seem to be

Predicting Numbers
Speaking about the China lottery. When I searched for the China lottery awhile back I found an interesting article of something of which I did not know. That is that China is the creator of the keno style lottery game back in a dynasty era of which I can not remember right now.

Is the Lottery rigged ? Read this ...
Do you honestly think that if they rigged it, they're going to let anyone know? Maybe the lottery's auditors are in on it... they all get their cut to keep their mouths shut ... or else (Godfather theme plays in the background) lol... In that article, they mentioned that all the numbers played get stored in a computer. Thats a valid point ... so you know they know what numbers(combos) are still not played. Leaves it wide open for tampering. Just my 2 cents.

Buyer's remorse
I'm not making light of this, really. I'm sorry you are in pain. I saw on CNN yesterday that someone's dog accidentally stepped on the trigger of his shotgun and the same thing happened. http://www.kfdm.com/onset?id=24158 template=article.html
