No Privacy For FL Jackpot Winner
First, I was going to post this in the Jackpot Games forum, but read on and you will see why I chose Lottery Discussion. Now, even as I write this, I'm thinking Be careful. This is the internet. You don't want to draw a map to your front door by saying you know exactly where this man lives. So imagine winning 1/2 of a very large state lottery jackpot and seeing your address in the paper. The article in the Fort Myers News-Press did not say where in Bonita Springs this man lives, althoug

Pearl found on Restaurant.
Yeah, but how many millions of opened clams eaten were thrown away which had no pearls in them? That couple shelled out 10 bucks for the clam dinner. They won't be sharing the money after they sell it because an article I read said that this couple was very shellfish..... I personally don't believe it. The whole story sounds a little fishy. By looking at their pictures, you can tell they looked half-baked anyway.

Don't buy lottery tickets for kids, researcher warns
True, but the article does not say only scratches, but tickets as well. Watch how quickly the gift to the kid is taken back and claimed by the parent. Lottery tickets are given usually with the prior knowledge that they will most likely be a loser, which is why I think they are terrible gifts. Or if they do win, you will probably then see lawsuits as true colors come out. One scratcher I would consider playing is the $100,000 a year for life.

The Implications of Cracking the Code..
But did you tell them your money was from winning the lottery? I only mentioned it because it was in all the local papers here 4 years ago when this man won Lotto and his donation was returned. That's how I just found the article online ..I remembered his name. No big deal - just mentioned it posted the link FYI. I suppose a lot of people donate money after winning a contest, a lottery game, and so on, but most religious organizations would never know. Perhaps this was a local decision. I

Idaho Raffle
Holy carp, there's an article at the Idaho Lottery site saying several workplaces and families are starting pools for this. For a mere million! Me thinks they haven't thought out how much (little) they'll get if they actually do win the million. Tickets are only $10, buy your own for heaven's sake. So, any other Idahoans buying raffle ticket(s)?

Texas Lottery to add 'Sum It Up' feature to Pick 3 game
If you want to have your eyes opened about the Texas Lottery, read Dawn Nettles' article in the Texas Lottery Report about the dishonest bet the state accepts on pair sums. They accept the sum bet on pairs and don't pay up if the sucker wins. TLC doesn't mean Tender Loving Care down here in the Lone Star State. We have a saying down here: Don't piss on my boots and tell me it's raining! Orangeman

Britain's biggest lottery winner says jackpot ruined her life
Why would you post this? The woman did not even comment on the article. It wasn't witty or funny. Just mean.

Britain's biggest lottery winner says jackpot ruined her life
That's what I got from the article. The publicity may be part of the problem, but it sounds to me like her biggest probems are that she isn't (yet?) comfortable with that amount of money and she no longer has a routine to keep her occupied. The latter is the reason that a lot of people have a lot of trouble when they retire. It takes a while to adjust to any significant change in your life, and suddenly having another 40 to 60 hours of free time isn't a good thing unless you can find a way to d
