$273M Mega Millions jackpot winner from NJ says he initially forgot the lottery ticket at the store
Good question about claiming trusts and claiming LLCs in New Jersey. Their lottery website offers almost no information, but I did find this in a news article from 2018:
The New Jersey Lottery is compelled to release the name of the person or organization that filed the claim as well as the town and retailer where the ticket was sold, according to spokeswoman Mary Ann Rivell.
Rivell said she can only remember one instance in her years at the lottery of a person forming an LLC before arrivi

Bill to allow lottery winners to remain anonymous passes Virginia Senate
I am wondering if that NH lawsuit is having other broader benefits
A while back PA allowed a winner to claim with a trust and only released the name of the trust and (probably, but I'm not positive) the name of the trustee. A lottery rep referenced the NH case in explaining their decision. I haven't gone digging for the specific rules in PA, but that may indicate that PA's requirement to release winners' identities is also covered under a right to know law rather than a specific lottery rul

Rl's HyBrid-3 pick-3 free software package
The HyBrid is Pick-3 only, I have rogue versions that will handle any game up
to a billion line matrix but have no plans to release them. If users can't hit 3
values consistently for pick-3 then how can they hit 10 which is what it takes
to reduce mega-millions to 16 lines or 12 rogues to reduce to a single line?

Trusts and Tax - losing the anonymous benefit?
In Arizona, the lottery agency will not pay out prizes without knowing who, specifically, will be receiving the money, even if it is claimed through a trust.
I've always figured that every state would want to know the identity of the actual person who owns the ticket. Remaining anonymous means that the lottery doesn't release your name to the public, not that they write a check to John Doe and have no idea who actually won. Recently somebody claimed through a trust somewhere and the article

Memo: Iowa Lottery kept selling games after security warning
A newly unsealed memo shows the Iowa Lottery kept marketing four popular games despite an August 2015 warning from its security chief that their integrity was compromised.
The memo was written following the trial of Eddie Tipton, who was convicted of rigging a Hot Lotto jackpot worth $16 million.
Steve Bogle, its vice president of security, recommended that the lottery immediately suspend sales of Hot Lotto, Pick 3, Pick 4, and All or Nothing. He told CEO Terry Rich, we cannot allow the ci

Markov Chains - anyone tested the method?
retxx,
I just checked the website. The download links are still not up yet.
The Markov Chain Generator 2.0 is listed as still being in development with a release date of June 2018. So this means that it probably will not be available until later this month.
I guess will all have to still be patient for a while longer.
Regards,
Kosh

Your dog could be a Tennessee Lottery scratch-off star
I agree with Todd. By the way, the winner will sign a release for the use of his/her photo in advertising. This is standard practice and I am familiar with such releases. No business asks for your copyright and you maintain copyright ownership of your image. It is simply a licensing of your image for a limited time and under certain conditions. Most people would be thrilled to have an image selected, especially photographers.
By the way, just because you post an image on social media, your co
