Nanook,You have describe randomness. The possible outcomes are so numerous that it's impossible to control the conditions to create any particular outcome. If the outcomes were as simple as 2+2=4 or 2x2=4, every body would be winning.RJOh

CA=pari-mutuel prizes for MM
With that type of prize structure, a second place winner is a Californian player worst nightmare if it not him and even worst if he is and he's not the only one. The MegaMillions lottery will never have a payout like PowerBall when they had all those second prize winners.RJOh

Mega Millions Rolls On
FIXED prizes will be paid if the number of winners are reasonable, however if a group of players played the same numbers and win, the rules change. Such rare occurrences can happen when players get their numbers from a single source such as fortune cookies(PowerBall a few weeks ago), news papers, news events or lottery *software that predicts the same numbers for all of its users. *No such software exists as all known software packages give different sets of numbers to each of their users play

Mega Millions Rolls On
I was surprised to see California paid $8 for a 3+0, Ohio paid $10: California paid $1 for 0+1, Ohio paid $2. Ohio does have a cap if there are more winners than expected at any prize level, so if there are 70+ second prize winners (5+0)as in PowerBall several weeks ago, they will not pay $250,000 to each winner(each State will pay according to their local sales). I'll be surprised if PowerBall doesn't have a similar rule when they change their matrix next month since that has happen twic

My Mega Millions program
vbmx,I posted the first 10 picks of my RNG on the prediction board yesterday, 06/24/05 and matched 2+1 for $10 to break even. Admittedly my RNG had an edge using the old MegaMillions drawing file as a guide, but if I was going to pay money for another RNG I would expect it to do better. I'll recheck your site when you've added some features to your RNG. Good luck.RJOh

My Mega Millions program
vbmx,If you haven't updated your RNG for the 5/56+1/46 format then it's not covering ~40M possible combinations, besides an updated RNG and all that other information is available here at LP for all the lotteries.RJOh

fantasy five help
Also true for Ohio RC5, 60% of the time a number from the previous drawings is in the winning combinations, so if you write all 5 previous winning numbers vertically on a sheet of paper and fill in the rest of your picks you will have at least on number 60% of the time in those 5 lines. RJOh
