First Ca$hola jackpot win in Delaware
Witten had visited the resort once a month for several years and had been playing the video lottery for two hours when she hit the jackpot.
How much does this cost to play? Sorry, but the article began with a story about a penny slot and then listed other winners, so I'm not sure it's the same game. Was this also a penny slot machine?

Suggestion to Todd
There's a link to USAMega on this site (down the left side of the page, it's a button actually) plus it's mentioned in this news article under the heading Crooks borrow popular website names.
Edited to Add: Todd beat me by one minute.

Don't look at your lottery tickets while driving
Interesting. This article is similar to a comment I posted when someone got so excited his arms went numb and he had to pull over. I wrote that people shouldn't drive and check their numbers at the same time because they get too distracted when they win.
I wonder if he was talking on his cell phone at the same time! I think they are also a hazzard on the road.

N.J. native wins $38M Calif. Lottery jackpot
irondoor827....no I am not in any way, shape or form affliated with the lottery. Would a lottery official be posting on a Saturday morning? I doubt it.
As far as having inside information, none needed. All one had to do was to read the lottery's press release, found on their web site, and compare it to the article posted by Todd from the Union-Tribune. Hardly inside stuff, just simple reading skills.

incredible story
Something similar happen to Angelo and Maria Gallina of California on 12/12/2002 when they won both the Fantasy Five jackpot of $126K and the SuperLotto Plus $17M jackpot on the same day.

Lotto tickets lead cops to murder suspect
Like many lottery players, Tim Fountain used numbers from his own life when he selected 5-1-5-0 and 5-1-5-7 in the Pick 4 game on Aug. 4, 2005, according to police.
Ahah ! So they got the DNA from the victims and the dummy was playing his former addresses. This is a better explanation of the whole process then. The original article was very nebulously written. The reporter must be newly graduated from Journalism school.

A Model for What to do with the Jackpot You just Won
Great article. However, I would still remain anonymous for the sake of peace of mind and so that you won't be targeted by the media. Don't forget that this guy lives in a small town in IDAHO!!! What crime or harrassment could possibly happen to him in Idaho? I read about one of the Powerball winners from Nebraska and he still lives in Nebraska. But a lottery winner in Idaho or Nebraska wouldn't have the same problems as someone who won it in New York City. Believe me, if someone won that k

Kentucky Lottery's new '3 Line Lotto' starts next Monday
That's right, I think it's pretty clear from the article that the game has pretty good odds for a prize of that size:
A player who matches all six numbers on a single line wins the jackpot, which starts at $100,000 and increases each drawing it is not won. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 3,262,623.
