if invited to join a lottery pool at work: would you or not?
I run the pool at work. We have a filing cabinet that every one can access. I send out an email to everyone in the place that tell them when the next drawing is, what amount the JP is at, and what time I will be getting the tickets. It is up to them to put their money in the envelope before I get the tickets.
I've been doing it for almost 2 years. I've never had any money come up missing. The most we've won is $7.
Here is a copy of the rules I send out. Is it perfect? No. But it puts the r

$191 MILLION: Huge Powerball lottery jackpot teed up for Saturday drawing
By Todd Northrop
There was no jackpot winner in the Wednesday night drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery game, causing the grand prize to increase to an estimated $191 million for Saturday's drawing.
Saturday was the 9th consecutive Powerball drawing without a jackpot winner. The jackpot run started April 3 as a $40 million jackpot.
The estimated cash value for the new jackpot is $124.7 million. After-tax cash and annuity prize amounts are reported state-by-state on the Jackpot

Proof that the Lottery is RIGGED
I'm not sure what they do in Raleigh, but I know that something fishy goes on. I remember about two years ago, my husband and I sat up and watched the live drawing. We watched the numbers come out and the next morning, the site had the end numer changed.....Went back to watch the live drawing on the news channel and it had been pulled. I do think there is a method to the madness. There are patterns, and changing patterns all the time. If it were not somewhat planned, I couldn't pick the number t

what is your lottery pet peeves??
I only know of one time when there were enough tickets sold that almost guaranteed someone would win the jackpot and that was the record $640 million MM jackpot. And since there were almost 652 million tickets sold for that drawing, it almost justifies not playing until players think the jackpot will be won because the amount sold for that one drawing paid for the jackpot. With only about 16% of the drawing producing a jackpot winner, I can't see why every player should play in every drawing

New Jersey lottery turns 40 with record $2.6B in revenue
The New Jersey Lottery sold a state record $2.6 billion in tickets for fiscal year 2010, an impressive number considering the state is in the midst of an historic recession.
It's also impressive because the New Jersey Lottery, which turns 40 in December, continues to be an economic force in a state desperate for cash. Even after all this years, for better or worse, the lottery remains a growth industry.
The lottery is a recession-proof business, says Carole Hedinger, acting executive dire

Israel Lottery draws same numbers twice in month
You dropped the decimal point, so it's 2.65, not 265, but that's still for any one specific drawing to match another specific drawing. I don't know whether this game has drawings one a week or twice a week, but since that set of numbers was first drawn there would have been at least 4 drawings, so the chances of those numbers coming up again would be 4 in 2.65 million, or 1 in 662,500. Further, the last drawing could also have matched either of the 2 previos drawings, so that makes 6 chances in

Patterns on a play slip
That rag Lotto News has a chart for the pick 10 game, the digits 1-80 listed vertically, and the draw dates horizontally, and a black dot indicating the digit drawn for the corresponding drawing. After a few weeks of drawing data, look at the results you will detect a pattern. If only one could develop a method of predicting where the next black dot will land. Ive tried it using refracting angle projections, manually by eye. Mabye there is a way a computerized program can process the data and crea
