The Implications of Cracking the Code..
pumpi76, I have a college degree in math and taught middle school and high school math for six years from 1972-1978. I love math because it comes from God and not from man. Math is everywhere in nature - or in everything God has created - which is everything. There is no such animal as A RANDOM EVENT. It only appears that way, since we see things through a DARK CLOUD. Using Differential Equations, you can prove that the bee uses the minimum amount of wax to build the strongest structure possible

Frustrated
No - most - combinations are losers that will never show up. Think about it. In my state lotto (Florida) the odds for 6/53 are approx 1 in 23 million. So if I keep playing my 4 combinations (which I have been doing for about 13 years) forever and ever, there are still well over 22 million others that might be drawn. Since most combinations never repeat RJOh, I agree, so then I wonder if it's because the odds are so great or the Lottery checks eliminates them during a pre-test

Restaurant workers split $4 million lottery jackpot
They have an agreement that if someone hits with their own numbers, the others can't make a claim on it.(We'll see if they feel the same way if one of them hits.) You don't need an agreement for that, because nobody is entitled to something that isn't theirs. What you need is a good agreement that covers who is in the pool, how many tickets the pool will buy, and how the tickets will be chosen and purchased. In the event that there is ever a dispute (and if any member of the pool wins you c

What if you found out that NO ILOGICAL system works
They say the lottery numbers are drawn at random. Lottery numbers are drawn from random. When the final ball drops the random stops and the result becomes fact. The fact then becomes a statistic. Stats are used to determine the final fact of the next random event. We do not always get it right but we are working on it.

TODAY'S POLL: Scenarios of remaining anonymous
I live in Indiana which does not allow an anonymous winner. However, 2 people have claimed prizes as a Trust and not had their names released so I that gives me some hope that if I ever win I can stay out of the press. The problem is according to law in Indiana the Executive Director has the sole discretionary authority to release the name of the winner here. So even if you do claim as a Trust with a nondescript name your name might still be released to the public. It will be interesting

What if you found out that NO ILOGICAL system works
Here's an excerpt describing how improbable that 20 times in a row is. People keep using the number 20. 10 is acceptable, but 20 goes into the millions. So it might happen, but that is not the norm. Trust me. You remeber our experiment with the coin toss?.....Suppose we had heads come up 10 times in a row. Now it's true we cannot be positive that heads will not come up another 10 times in a row. But how would you bet? If you just flipped a coin and had 10 heads in a row, then someone made you

splitting the jackpot prize with family members.
Comments please. My SO has been out of town recently looking for work and when he does find work again, I suspect it will be some distance away so we will only see each other periodically. So I wrote the email below to myself at a different email address so the dates shown on the complete header would show when it had been sent and received. (My SO does not have his own computer, and besides I wouldn't want to trust someone else to keep the record which could potentially affect my taxes.)

Do you pray before you buy the lotto?
Well said emilyg. irondoor827- time and place. There are plenty of Christian discussion boards- how would you like it if you were on one and someone started peppering it with lotto posts? God doesn't care about the outcome of a lottery drawing* or a sporting event - unless of course it's Notre Dame football - especially if they're playing BYU or SMU * well He may influence it!

So you have the winning ticket, now what?
The irony, I suppose, is that each dollar put into the Jackpot already represented an after tax dollar of income for whomever purchased that ticket. But the only way they could get the states to buy into the multistate lotteries was to give 'em money on the frontend and the back--they share in the lotteries' revenues and they get to tax the winners--although I'm thinking that one or two states do not tax lottery winnings, or is it just winnings on the big banana? As I've stated somewhere e
