AMAZING: Minnesota man wins back-to-back lottery jackpots
I hit 4 of 5 in our state lottery twice in the same week, I don't know if this was lucky or unlucky, because the payout only $400 total, but 5 of 5 would have been $500,000. The article said the odds were 1 in 170,000, what are the odds of doing that twice in a row?

90-year-old wins $1 million in Fla. Lottery's Monopoly game
Just realized that the article says she bought the last 2 tickets. So maybe she would have purchased more! $40 is a lot for 2 tickets. This also brings something else to mind. The last two tickets. People sometimes say that the first and last on a roll are more likely to be winners. True??

N.C. Lottery chief adding new games to overcome revenue shortfall
According to the article, the Powerplay multiplier will come to NC this spring. The multiplier is called PowerPlay. Maybe they meant to say just the 10x will be available this spring. NY Blotto (currently 6/59) has always paid out 40%, and players have gradually taken notice. Imagine a flash cut from 65% to 40% on scratches.

New NY Lotto 59 in March-will it still be a ripoff?
I took a closer look at the expected prize amounts for Blotto Extra (I saw them in the same article before but was in a hurry.) The 5/6 and 4/6 (neither with bonus ball) will pay exactly double with Blotto Extra than without, meaning the NY Blotto/Blotto Extra payout will continue to be 40%. And now I read in today's (2/1) Journal News (White Plains, NY) that there is a proposal to reduce scratch prizes from 65% to 40% and Quick Draw from 60% to 40%. Do these lawmakers ever buy tickets?

Will Florida Join Powerball
I've lived in FL for over 12 years and I don't ever remember reading that we joined PB. I'd like to read the article to which you are referring. Jeb Bush announced he would never approved joining a multi-state game since it would hurt state revenues. Okay: Here's something from the New York Times (the rest of the article is only avail for a fee) National News Briefs; Florida Cancels Contract To Be Part of Powerball *Please Note: Archive articles do not include photos, charts or

Wisconsin man wins $1.4 million playing 4 identical tickets
Also, not mentioned in this article, he purchased the tickets at two different locations. He played the same two lines at Piggly Wiggly, 1100 E. Commerce Blvd., Slinger and the same two lines at Tri-Par Oil, 651 E. Washington Ave., Slinger. This is from the Wisconsin Lottery's News Release dated 2006-12-07. Great job guy, I hope you win again.
