Unusual Proposal
Not far from the possible truth,as I tried to find exactly how Much profit Florida lottery has pulled in,(verses what they payed out and operation cost) This State should not be in hock and yet it is? the endless new schools we built down here based on a population that was renting not an actual tax base( home ownership)but the old schools were overcrowded and bureacrats screamed they needed new schools five years ago now we are closing brand new schools..go figure? It wouldn't be far from th

Little Experiment for my next vacation
Difficult to estimate how well you'd fare. With scratch offs, it's being at the right place at the right time. 20 tickets from 20 different rolls...hmm...might produce 20 duds. The duds out number the winners by far - I consider a dud winning back what you paid for the ticket too. You may come across a good one, never know until you try. Go for it and good luck. Personally, if I were to try your experiment, I'd buy 2 at a shot from each place, scratch them there - if tic

21 Combinations
Hi LottoHackJack It is rather funny that what you are suggesting in relation to my previous post! You said; The ticket-vending deadline is probably required to make sure that all vending machines are offline and disabled before the draw, so that the vendors/public-at-large cannot purchase a winning ticket combo after the draw has already occurred and been made official. ...and therefore all possible measures are considered to reassure that public cannot purchase unauthorised t

Sting nabs Minnesota lottery clerks stealing winning tickets
NO NO NO NO NO MY FRIEND, YOU ARE GOING ABOUT THIS THE WRONG WAY. ANYONE - AND I MEAN ANYONE, SHOULD AND MUST BE ABLE TO PLAY WITHOUT BEING CHEATED. THIS IS OUTRIGHT WRONG THAT PEOPLE ARE BEAING CHEATED OUT OF MONEY. BC THIS IS WHAT THIS IS. WINNINGS ARE MONEY, AND CUSTOMERS WHO WIN ARE CUSTOMERS. SO.... THIS IS CRAZY. AND I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, it makes me crazy as hell when customers get cheated out of money. I DON'T CARE if you're a millionaire or on welfare, what yours is y

Could there be a reason people that win jackpots have 1 play on a ticket?
Long time reader, barely ever post. Over the summer, two people in my town won the mega millions. One for 250,000 . One for 10,000. I personally know the gentelman that won the 10,000. He'd spend 100 dollars at the gas station across from my house every tuesday and friday for well over a year before he even hit anything . The gentelman who won the 250,000 , got a quick pick on the way out of the supermarket. So now, when I buy quick picks, I stagger them, by ordering them one at a ti

Michigan Evening Daily 3 Draw
OK... I watched the draw live tonite on channel 4 (luckily it's still televised)... During the advertisement for the newest lottery ticket, a ball seemed to have gotten stuck in the machine near the draw chute. It happened during this ad because all the balls were bouncing around in the machine and nothing was out of the ordinary on the first shot of the machine. During the actual draw, it was PLAINLY VISIBLE that the ball was stuck as it was trying to wiggle its way out of being stuck whe

What would you do if you actually won?
SURVEY SAYS?! *DING!* I'd probably do half flip thing in an attempt at doing a cartwheel which I'd screw up and probably break my neck. Seriously though, I know I'd freak out a little, yell, probably do a weird dance that thankfully no one would see, try to calm myself down and just go completely nuts with doing even more reading than what I have in the last year. I wouldn't be able to likely sleep though I'm sure I could manage it and would try to make an appointment to see an attorn

Correlation btwn Lotto Players and Gambling in General
I wish there were casinos that let you gamble but with 10 cents and not with 1 dollars...I am talking imagine if there are casinos that have every known lottery type of lottery configuration and board game and to play it cost 10 cents or a nickle for each ticket/entry... Imagine if they offer you to play checkers or memory game in a casino against a machine...Wouldn't that be cool...What i am saying is casinos need to offer more games to make the casino experience more enjoyable, like boardga

Man quits lottery pool, then wins with Quick Pick
Mark Weir won a 2.7 million (US $5.3 million) Lotto jackpot, and then told the members of his former lottery pool, You won't get a penny . Father-of-two Mark, 45, hit the jackpot with a 1 Quick Pick ticket he bought in last Wednesday's UK National Lottery draw after failing to win anything for years in his office lottery pool. As he picked up his winnings yesterday, plastics factory machine operator Mark, from Darlington, Co Durham, said, The lads at work won't be getting a share.

Stolen lottery ticket wins suspect a trip to jail
On Tuesday morning, three Orangeburg, South Carolina, police officers stopped a man accused of trying to cash in a stolen lottery ticket at the Corner Pantry store. The convenience store incident was caught on tape. I just think he was a dumb crook, explained cashier Wanda Lowden. He learned a tough lesson being taken down by three police officers after he tried to cash a stolen lottery ticket. And the police officers they just happened to be waiting in line. Talk about bad t
