Lottery programs
Yes the Pick-4 is different than the Pick-5\6 games but the same method applies just choose twice as many numbers to wheel in order to TRAP the winning combination. And your correct that you would have to play A LOT of numbers in order to win everytime more than 1 draw that's called HANDICAPPING in Gambling of any kind you need to bend the odds in your favor as much as possible. But you can reduce the amount of combinations to a reasonable playing level by using FILTERS this is the Smartest

puzzled!!
I always tell my kids what lottery systems/theory I'm working on and what's working so they can save the years of trial and error I've put into it. But my younger son does better than I do just by picking numbers off the top of his head. He laughs at the amount of time I spend on it.I always say, to each his own.Just one more comment...the Romans played lottery all the time, but after their fall , lottery was not popular for a long time......why? Did they figure out how to beat it? Food for

Lotto program!
I don't win all the time but I win more than I would if I bought Quick-Picks.I play Pick-4 mostly but develop strategies for both games I use a number selection strategy and software strategies to play the games.I select 8 numbers by placing the Pick-4 into consecutive Pairs 01,23,45,67,89 I eliminate 1 pair which gives me my 8 numbers I'm working on another strategy that gives me 6 numbers.Anyway after I have my numbers I select my 4 filters which will reduce my combinations down to a more reas

Connecticut Investigates Lottery Mix-Up
Connecticut lottery officials were investigating why two lottery balls failed to drop during a drawing. The numbers 18 and 27 were placed in a mixer for the Cash 5 drawing Friday night, but they got stuck in the number chute as the other 33 balls fell into the chamber, said Diane Patterson, spokeswoman for the Connecticut Lottery Corporation.Patterson said lottery officials didn't notice the problem until after the drawing, which was televised live.Officials will honor tickets with winning com

LottoPro
I use LottoPro, but not to pick my numbers. It's an easy way to update my number files, since all their data is updated every 24 hours and if you find an error in their data, they will correct it. Their data files can be read with a text editor which make it easy for me to tranfer their data to my own programs. The LottoPro program can break the data down in different groups with graphs and it has a good collections of wheels if you like to do play that way. If you play several lottery and do

Do lottery systems really work?
Okay DOWJONES let me explain myself in SIMPLER terms for you too understand because it's obvious you are having a problem intellectually.First of all I never said players don't win using Quick-Picks I KNOW THEY DOI just said it's based on LUCK because they aren't making an INTELLIGENT decision on there numbers the Lottery Terminal is randomly choosing. Therefore if they don't WIN they just weren't LUCKY that day now if they used a SYSTEM too select there numbers and didn't WIN then they obvious

Pick three wheels question
JAP69,There are certainly more the 12 five digit wheels. This is mathematically an optimization problem, similar to the coverage of e.g how many sets do I need in a 6 out of 49 lottery to get at least 3 numbers correctly (or include all 3 number combinations)In this case the question is how many 5 five digit wheels to I need to have all 120 3 no-match number combintations included. Due to the fact that the 5 digit wheels are overlapping it cannot be calculated, but to find the lowest number of w

New Library Definition - Gaussian Filter
Mike,I see your plight when trying to compute the standard deviation using Excel. As you already know, Excel uses an unstable numeric algorithm to determine the standard deviation in a set of data. Not to mention a round-off error. Not relying on the flawed algorithms in Excel. I have devised my own method for computing the standard deviation of both small and large sets of data in the 3 and 4-Digit Lottery. I hope you will understand and respect my decision not to share my methods. The results
