Yes the Pick-4 is different than the Pick-5\6 games but the same method applies just choose twice as many numbers to wheel in order to TRAP the winning combination.And your correct that you would have to play A LOT of numbers in order to win everytime more than 1 draw that's called HANDICAPPING in Gambling of any kind you need to bend the odds in your favor as much as possible.But you can reduce the amount of combinations to a reasonable playing level by using FILTERS this is the Smartest

I always tell my kids what lottery systems/theory I'm working on and what's working so they can save the years of trial and error I've put into it. But my younger son does better than I do just by picking numbers off the top of his head. I don't win all the time but I win more than I would if I bought Quick-Picks.I play Pick-4 mostly but develop strategies for both games I use a number selection strategy and software strategies to play the games.I select 8 numbers by placing the Pick-4 into consecutive Pairs 01,23,45,67,89 I eliminate 1 pair which gives me my 8 numbers I'm working on another strategy that gives me 6 numbers.Anyway after I have my numbers I select my 4 filters which will reduce my combinations down to a more reas

I can't download anything either. I keep getting nothing when I type in all of those things from the microsoft directions. However I am still working on this problem. when I try to download, I get an error message that I have done something illegal and my computer shuts down. If I can ever get back to where I was, I will try to install another browser. I use LottoPro, but not to pick my numbers. It's an easy way to update my number files, since all their data is updated every 24 hours and if you find an error in their data, they will correct it. Their data files can be read with a text editor which make it easy for me to tranfer their data to my own programs. This is mathematically an optimization problem, similar to the coverage of e.g how many sets do I need in a 6 out of 49 lottery to get at least 3 numbers correctly (or include all 3 number combinations)In this case the question is how many 5 five digit wheels to I need to have all 120 3 no-match number combintations included. Mike,I see your plight when trying to compute the standard deviation using Excel. As you already know, Excel uses an unstable numeric algorithm to determine the standard deviation in a set of data. Not to mention a round-off error.Not relying on the flawed algorithms in Excel. I have devised my own method for computing the standard deviation of both small and large sets of data in the 3 and 4-Digit Lottery.
