Man claims Powerball lottery prize just before it was due to expire
It agree with justxploring. I don t see how people can forget to check their ticket; you buy them for a reason. Even if the lotto is at the bottom of their list there is still no reason. I forget stuff too like: I rarely dry clean but sometimes I need to remove a spot or something from pants. I have other pants so those pants are not that important, if I get busy I m going to forget to pick them up for a few days. If it takes 90 days and a newspaper article saying Customer left pants at dry cl

GA trying to save "win for life"
does anyone know how win for life is doing? like what the projected sales were and what are the current sales or in GA. cause i was reading an article that says sales in KY are up 35% then projected. is that everywhere or just in KY

Multiple jackpot wins question?
I know the possibility and probability of winning both jackpots even months or years apart is probably 1 in a billion. But a lifetime of weird coincidences says there always a chance there's always that last card in the deck when you have the best cards that comes off and gives your opponent the win. I know it's unlikly and I'd probably be so busy with travel and charity once I won one jackpot that I probably wouldn't play as much. But I'd still play, buying a ticket when I felt like it or

N.C. Ministers resigned to lottery, but wary
Faith leaders should monitor how the lottery develops, he said. They should watch to make sure the state doesn't target the poor with advertising. Congregations should develop programs to educate people about the dangers of gambling and addictive behavior. Leaders of congregations should keep a close eye out for fellow members who might be buying too many tickets.
I hate to admit this on a lottery board but, although I don't agree with everything in this article, I do agree with the above s

Computerized Keno
I know that many of you dislike computerized drawings (just today the NewsJournal had another 'feel good' article about the DE lottery's fairness from the accountants point of view, www.delawareonline.com).
What are your opinions about Keno? I know that New York, Maryland, and Washington DC use a computer to pick the Keno numbers every 4 or 5 minutes. Does this fit under the no computerized drawings or is it the exception to the rule? Are there any states that manually draw Keno numbers?

Buying Mega Millions lottery tickets a strictly defensive act
Interesting article.
I have a couple of long terms members in one of my lottery groups that claim they can never quit. They are sure that the day after they quit we will win. They have been a member for over 10 years.

N.C. lottery director says lower payouts could hurt sales
It's a funny thing. I've been telling folks thAt North Carolina was going to be stingy with their payouts for scratch-offs long before I read this article. I also told them that South Carolina had one of the best payouts in the country. Now I have positive proof that this is so. I live about 5 minutes from the Souch Caroilna border and will continue to play in South Carolina, Pick 3, Pick 4, Powerball, Caroina 5, AND scratch-off tickets! And yes I DO LIVE IN NORTH CAROINA! After tne newness

What would the experts do with a lottery jackpot?
I'm mostly with Uncle Jim on what I'd do. I expect that being broke is bad even more after you've spent some time being rich, so my first concern would be ensuring that there was virtually no chance of having my income drop below a level that's quite comfortable. That means that with 15 million to invest I'd put at least 5 into something solid but conservative. Like Uncle Jim I'd consider the possibility of government failure, but I'd also consider a major failure of the US economy. The governme
