Piqua lottery winners sued by co-workers
Nothing wrong with an office pool. Just put everything in writing. Be clear about the rules. If they decide to buy tickets with any small amount won, put it in writing. Any proceeds from winning tickets totaling $50.00 or less from a drawing are used to purchase tickets for the next drawing the pool participates in. Use of winning ticket proceeds from a previoius drawing does not make the participants from the previous drawing that had proceeds from winning tickets eligible for

Same Numbers Win In Several Jackpots
How many combinations did you plug in randomly? If the game has lasted long enough to have had 1000 drawings, your chances of picking one randomly and finding that it has won are about 1000 in 10.18 million (assuming you're talking about lotto) or 1 in 10,800. Those aren't very good odds. OTOH, when you're looking to see if any of the 1000 that are winners have repeated you're not making 1000 guesses all at the same odds of 1 in 10.18 million possibilities. Each additional set of winning numb

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
If you mean walking in and buying 100 tickets for one drawing, or walking in and buying 50 tickets for two drawings, VERSUS walking in and buying 100 tickets for one drawing - as opposed to walking in and buying 50 tickets for one drawing, and then walking in before the NEXT drawing and buying 50 tickets, I'd do the last scenario - OR if that is not an option, buy the 100 tickets for one drawing. Why ? Glad you asked. If you buy the 50 X 2 in one shot, if you get a 3x, or even a 2x matc

Sad story of the week
The worst story I heard happened at a 7-11 on Lake City Way in Seattle. Before the early 90's you could get lottery tickets the day of the drawing and 15 minutes before the tickets would automatically convert to the next drawing date. Almost every clerk knew this and would warn players that the tickets were for the next drawing. A woman bought tickets at the above 7-11 and wasn't warned (or so she said). The tickets were purchased before the drawing but since they were within the 15 minut

Now the 4th-largest jackpot in world history By Todd Northrop Will someone give a Christmas gift worth billions this week? It's actually a possibility, as the next Powerball drawing on Christmas Eve is set to deliver a faint-inducing prize worth $1.7 billion. $1.1 BILLION: Powerball jackpot increased in longest-ever winless streak

A winner who chooses the cash option would receive a lump-sum $503.4 million more than a half-billion dollars in cash! It's the stuff that a lottery pla

The Predictor's League (develop, test & demonstrate your abilities then let us verify your results)
Etc.... I'm not sure if I've grasped the draw rules yet. No worries, the drawing schedule is meant to be more of a drawing by drawing visual of the state drawings you're predicting. Some drawing times are going to overlap. This, of course, only happens when you are creating multistate forecasts. I usually post more information at the bottom of my forecasts to let people know that it's best to be informed of the drawing times and the cut-off times before playing multistate forecast
