Forming a trust to claim prize
I know that in states like Ohio and New Hampshire, you can form a trust to claim a prize, because it was actually done in those states. But can you do it anywhere? So if the jackpot was won in Nebraska or South Dakota or Pennsylvania, could you still form a trust and remain anonymous? The WLT Trust was formed in Pennsylvania a while back to claim a large Powerball jackpot but the names were still shown on the Powerball news article. The Duchess Trust from Louisiana was also formed , but th

What are the ODDS/Probability?
Interesting. Looks like the odds are about 3 to 1, with the exponent increasing by one each time (2x=9:1, 3x=27:1, etc.). Good thing it didn't roll over again last night. If we think the odds of 9m:1 are really unbelievable, then 27m:1 is getting into astrophysics!!You'd almost think this was worthy of a newspaper article in Tennessee! Looks like this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime dvent.27 million to 1 and it Caves in..LOL Funny...there are Big dvents happening in little places all over the

World Games officials face probe
Quote: Originally posted by Todd on March 1, 2005 MillionsWanted:Just being involved with WGI is bad. It has already been judged as an illegal pyramid scam in several courts around the world, and is illegal in the USA. You may want to advise your relative that they should consider cutting all ties with that scam outfit immediately. At the moment WGI is legal in Norway, incredibly enough. The problem for many members now is that they have found out that they will have to pay taxes for the income

Survey: Few lottery winners go wild

After taxes you aren't even a millionaire. There is a big difference between winning $315 million and a couple of million.I was gonna say the exact same thing, but the article did say, Of 260 people who won at least $1 million between 1991

$2 games
My advice is to not to buy any $2 ticket, even for an otherwise good game like MA Cash Winfall. If you do, you are voting with your wallet and telling the lottery you don't mind paying $2 for a ticket. Well, I do mind. Massachusetts has season tickets for all the $1 games - $100 for 104 drawings, $50 for 52 drawings. They don't offer a season ticket for Cash Winfall, because they know people would resist paying $200 for 1 year season ticket. That should tell you something. So the $2 ticket price

Georgia Lottery Scratch Games' Empty Promises
Yes the information is very good in the article. I just want to know why some states play games and are lazy and dont update information as thoroughly as it should be updated. I find it laughable when I go into a store here in Illinois and see sheets of paper hung up with the remaining prizes list and you find out that it is like a month old. All states should update it on their websites daily. But I guess doing it weekly gets you some leeway and allows you to sell some extra tickets in a so

Delaware Lottery looking for $7.7 million winner
Well I hope that someone does claim this jackpot and put the whole thing to rest. In Dewaware one does not have to give their name as the whole thing is anonymous if they desire it, so the state seldom gets any publicity out of the winner. In the past couple of years, because of this, the lottery has even stopped putting any kind of notice in the paper that the jackpot had been claimed by someone. I wrote to them about this and they used the anonymity as an excuse for not doing so, though a fe
