I am on a losing streak
I was never a big lottery player and in some ways i am still not. For most of my life when i turned 18 i only played on and off for a few years. I might play a couple times this year or that year but that was in the 80's and i did not think too much of playing the lottery. In the 90's it was the same thing a little here and there. I did one pool in the late 90's. In the early 2000's i started to play lil more than usual and started a big pool at my job in a bank in PA. That lasted for about a ye

Joys of running a lottery pool
We get some of that in my office too and I join those too. My pool started when I shared an office with the person I mentioned in my original post. We started buying tickets together than others found out and wanted to join and it grew to as high as 13 members at one point. We currently have 11 members. We buy a mix of Powerball, Lotto, and MegaMillions every 2 weeks on payday and it covers all 4 drawings until the next payday. At least one of the 4 draws wins a lower prize, which I roll in for

QS-LottoWheeler
Trial version is not crippled in any way so it does not differ from the registered version, but indeed there is only full wheel generator, and other options (abbreviated wheeling, random numbers, normal and inverse refiltration) are not available, it seems like an unfinished project. As far as PoolGen part of the software is concerned,I tried different options, using different number of last draws as trend (up to 15) and different best trend groups (up to 20), with Pool Size 20 but more often

trying to find a good box system for pick 3 or a good pair /2 number system
Just read this thread Bux. Nice!! I see where this could be tweaked to my advantage too. I have a pool of 40 using the HHL technique. Most of my hits come from that pool.

$321 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot is red hot
Nice research, Floyd. Thanks for the info. At this late in the year, it does not make sense to collect before the end of the year unless it is a pool with several winners. Given the time to set up trusts and various entities, 60 days is okay, but pushes things very close to the holidays with closed offices and people taking holiday. I'd try and collect within 30-60 days, but if whoever tax atty I hired says to wait... I'd wait. I'll be investing as usual, maybe add a few bucks more. Reme

Theyre both up there...Wouldnt it be cool if someone hit both??
Expect a large gift tax bill for those of you that just want to give a winning ticket to family members. 40% on the after-tax amount after a $5.34m exemption. That's after you've paid the 39.6% rate on the prize. But at this amount, I'm sure you wouldn't really care how much you gave away to the government. A $100 million cash prize would turn into ~$38 million for your family. There have been a number of cases that have shown that you need to have had an existing pool play agreement and/or a

So what would the "Holy Grail" of Pick 3 playing be?
Thanks, lakerben. I think using those methods are fantastic as filters. But I'm looking for the magical pool of numbers, manageable numbers. Like I said, about 15-20 or so max. I firmly believe it can be done. The game seems to reveal evidence that it very much works off its own inner pools. Maybe the 111 is a pool system of its own? I've not researched it enough myself - it produces 18 sets, and does get hits. Has anyone done some solid testing on how many plays it takes to pay off? are t

8 x 15 (Pick 3)
I keep inputting the numbers into this eviscerated full singles box set, and I must admit I do notice, that the long outs don't stay out too long. That is, a set will be out for a long period occasionally... but not as long as other long out sets are out! But is this innovative or insightful, or is it just basic rules of probability? If the whole is sliced into larger pieces, of course they're not going to be out any longer. So the experiment at the moment remains inconclusive... still,

Funding your lottery habit
Got my tics last Sunday. Good luck to me. Gonna get the work pool tics tomorrow morning. Good luck to us. Really to us, because there's a couple of ladies in our pool that have some serious health issues that is going to cause major medical bills.

I hear you MarcLove, and I'm there with you... but when I run it through my own schematics, I hate to say it... it's all there, and it seems fair. My example: I had this sorta... pool of numbers, I'll call it. I knew that they were going to be coming due; I knew they was going to be a point where they would rapidly hit, in a row - bam bam bam! And sure enough, the last three days - bam, bam, and bam! They did. But I was so convinced it was going to be doubles, I missed every opportunity I cou
