The PB jackpot would probably have to set a new record (over $474 million cash) in order to change the most likely outcome from single winner to more than one winner, since the last $325 million jackpot didn't sell even 100 million tickets.

But the theory doesn't explain why there were no winners when 191 million tickets were sold the drawing before the record was set unless about 20 million tickets were self picks and they didn't sell every combo.

getting one hit with the 9 is not gambling effieciency...you HOPE it will start to hit furiously...but it is a major chance...it might hit ONCE...and then sit out another 10 games...the only thing going for the nine is that it will probalby not break a record by much if it tries to...althought it might go 70 draws, in hopes of having the claim to fame for crappiest skip.

I think it was a mistake to change ticket prices. I think it was a good decision for the bottom line, and that's what it's about. The 5/16 $90 million drawing had sales of $28.536 million. The last comparable pre-increase drawing was for $91 million on 12/17, and that had sales of $28.355 million.
