Where would you live?
I once went to a website called findyourspot.com. Basically, they give you a questionaire on factors that are important to you in a place to live. Most of my spots were in the south, considering that's where I'm from and the fact I prefer warm weather make sense. There were several places in North Carolina including Raleigh, which I thought was interesting. Where I live now, even anywhere in my state, wasn't listed. Several mid sized cities in Texas were also listed.A small community would b

$10 million versus $145 million

I've always felt that all lottery prizes should be tax free as they are in UK and also jackpot recipients should be given the option of remaining anonymous as they do in UK. The states and lotteries already have their profits from ticket sales and the prizes (including jackpots) should be awarded without any additional state or federal tax burden. The states may have prof

You can play online from this reputable company.Good luck, I hope a LP member brings it home! Hey Todd, Isn't it true that Playlot is actually run by a company outside th

I'm almost 3 hours from Phila. (and the quick bridge to N.J for MM tix) and don't feel like driving... I think it would be fun tho to whip up a MM sheet like I h

Virginia hoping the joke's not on them
Quote: News Article Virginia hoping the joke's not on them ___________________________________________________________The timing, though, has left her a bit unsettled, she said. These people could be playing an April Fools' joke, Kyle said. I hope not. ___________________________________________________________If it was me that won the $239 Million Jackpot, I would do the same thing, announcing it on April 1st. But, I would still want to remain anonymous as much as possible and not hold a pre

Would you tell or not?
I would post here just to explain WHY I AM TAKING THE ANNUITY instead of the cash. (I don't feel like explaining right now, so you'll just have to wait.)But, besides posting here -- where no one really knows me -- I would not tell co-workers and friends. Sure, I might buy a decent house and trade up to a better car -- but I wouldn't go wild. Nothing that maybe well-paid professionals in my area couldn't afford. (if I was a well-paid professional.) And my explanation to people would be that

Would you tell or not?
I don't know if I won big a part of me would want to scream it out loud. But after seeing hearing what has happened to other large winners. media coverage and people haunting them for their money. Not to mention as St.germains points out that relatives you didn't even know you had might show up looking for financial help. Grant it if they were bonified relatives or close friends and I won an awesome amount of money I would probably help them. More likely I would try and remain anonymous and relo

Lottery winner wasn't sure he wanted $11 million
A German lottery winner who scooped a jackpot of more than 6 million (US$11 million) didn't claim it for ten weeks as he wasn't sure he wanted the money. The clerk from Dortmund, who wishes to remain anonymous, was the only player to tip the six correct numbers in the January 3 draw, entitling him to 6,360,000.However, nearly three months passed before the lucky winner presented himself to WestLotto with his winning ticket saying he had taken time out so he could think things over .The company

J.W. is peanuts compared to those fortunes...Reading about all of his idiotic exploits only makes me feel sorry for his wife... I am certain he did that for more than just that on
