What was your take on the show "Lucky 7"
I have watched both episodes and really was bothered by the behavior of some of these characters. I agree with you about Nick, can't stand him. What a nitwit idea he had about staging the robbery and not voting for his own brother to be a part of the win is just not right. I think they have made the cashier really dumb. Okay she wins the lottery and the first thing she should do is kick her husband's sorry ass to the curb, lol. Unfortunately since she won the lottery while married, her spouse wo

$400 million S.C. Powerball winner to stay anonymous
Me either, it's not listed in with the anonymous states, but good for him.
I was thinking had it been a pool of people that all worked somewhere and if one of them wanted a press confernce it would have blown it for all of them - not only all of the people in a pool but all of the people that worked at the same place.
Glad this one was a one person jackpot.

California Lottery Powerball Question
Just a bit to add to Jon D's answer. MUSL generally has a pretty good handle on how many tickets will be sold and how much money will be added to the jackpot prize pool. If you check the increase in the cash value and multiply it by 3 you'll be very close to the total amount that is added to all prize categories. Looking at the state by state breakdown for past sales on lottoreport dot com will give you a good idea what percentage of tickets are usually sold in California, so you can make a good

Ever left a lottery pool to go solo: only to return to it again?
Perhaps because your fortune going solo was a dry spell so you rejoined the flock hoping for a better outcome?
Or have you always played solo- come what may.
Personally- no LP for me, no matter how fortunate they may be. It's a principle thing here.

TX Lotto players - Lottery Commission's sneaky rule change
Well, we can hope they may change. I think they will see a drop in ticket sales as players realize that jackpots are not climbing as high as they once were. The game will just not be as compelling. My understanding is that previously 50% of ticket sales went into the prize pool. So it seems that they were overfunding the prize pool if ticket sales normally ranged from 1.2 to 1.9 million per draw (after deducting expenses). I'm not sure what the percentage is now, but it must be less that 50.

if you joined a pool, did you vet the other players for honesty before jumping in feet first?
Edit:
When Powerball gets up to 100 million I will do a one time pool for that and people have to sign agreement for that also. I've noticed most do not even read it. Guess you could say if I wanted I could put in there, Pool manager (myself) keeps 75% of winnings Nah, I would never do that to my coworkers.
** Thank you for your clarification on the above chmuckatelly- as you can tell ALL members of the LP forum are ethical to the core, we would not like you to spook us with dis

if you joined a pool, did you vet the other players for honesty before jumping in feet first?
PS: One guy in the pool asked me Why are you doing all of this? We trust you. (In the regular pool, I just photocopy the front of all the tickets and hand them out because I keep all tickets in my possession.)
I told him it was because the group was aware of the fact that I had bought my own personal tickets, and that they could be sure if I won on one of those, that I had not pulled a switcharoo by switching my group ticket with one of my personal tickets. (It was physically impossible for

Good Morning Everyone!
Happy Saturday! I am new to LP and this is only my second post to LP, however I thought I would share how our office handles our lottery pool. We have one person to collect the money and either they go get the tickets or someone else from the office gets the ticket. When they come back they make a copy of all the tickets and the names who provided the money and how much and it is distributed to all the people who play. This way if you bought a separate ticket for the lo
