I traded in my recent 500X Star win for the 1st 10 of a book on Monday and played 5 that evening and the next 5 yesterday. I won $100 on tickets 000, 007, and 009, so $300 back. I'll probably get some more this evening. One subtle but not insignificant detail to the new game is the fact that the top $500K isn't structured as an annuity. The $1M prizes in the other $50 games pay ~$640K if taken as a lump sum, but on the new game you get the full amount (Uncle Sam of course takes a bite either

I plan to get in when the Annuity is $500M as long as PB is ahead. But should PB reset to $20M, I may give MM a shot once a week though it's not at $500M. I feel at that $500M, my $5 contribution will be valid, but at the same time do acknowledge that all games can be won at whatever amount and that there is no magical number when the chances to win are better. Not so true when somebody like my mother has beginning stages of dementia, memory loss due to the vaccine sorry, I don't share any of that with anybody on any discussion forum at all ,it's against the law. since you claim your lawyer or legal person or something stick to your annuity stuff and mind your business

She could have waited till July 1st for full anonymity. Fine to take the annuity. That amount could be invested and worth far more than the lump sum. Has Virginia allowed someone to claim in a full disguise before? Might be interesting to add to the anonymity summary. One can wear a disguise for wins so this would be helpful for the less than $1 million prizes. It dilutes that photo requirement.

That sounds like a fair plan. Wait until the lump sum is a billion... not the annuity. The cost of the ticket is its own beast, they lost me with the needless matrix change. It is not unlike PA cash 5, which they doubled the price of and mixed in a dumb instant win game where you might win from $2 to $6 with the ticket that prints out after the game. On the left side of this screen is a list various places to access. At the bottom of the list is a colorful squarelink to USA MEGA, click that When the USA MEGA page opens up, on the left side you will see Mega Millions or Powerball and under each of those is Jackpot Analysis , click that When that page opens up, scroll down and find your state and it will show you the annuity payments with deductions for taxes if you are single or married. Maybe if they advertised the prizes as after tax .. Probably wouldn't work so well in USA because of all the differing state tax rates on lottery prizes... But at least give the jackpot after federal taxes.. And maybe do the publicity on the cash value rather than the annuity value( Which inflates the perceived value of a jackpot).
