I will play the game whenever I visit VA and I play PA's version when I visit there. $36,000/yr or $52,000/yr is not enough to retire on, nor would I use it as such. What it is is a cushion: If you loose your job, want to take a nice vacation, or want to boost your savings account. $36 or $52K properly invested will allow you to retire comfortably if you aren't there yet.
