What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
You are most welcome..I did want to mention or add one other thought..
This may come off wrong..maybe even sound egotistical..it is not my intention...I dont really share what I call classified knowledge..that 85 % knowledge that I have accumulated over the past 20 years..my code I use..how I design my numerical runs through the past...everything I have discovered that is of numerical sigificance I do not share ..its nothing personal to anyone here at LP and I have said that before..

Fixed text editor problem for IE6 and IE7
I have fixed a bug with IE6 and IE7 that prevented the rich text editor from fully loading and allowing text input. The problem started when I upgraded the text editor to the latest release this week. It was essential to upgrade, because the old version would not work properly with newer browsers, like IE9.
The only solution to the IE6/IE7 bug was to disable the autosave feature in IE6 and IE7, so unfortunately people using those browsers will not be able to rescue content if they accidentall

The Color of Money (New Scratch-FL Lottery)
Well Im not really sure. Thats sounds about right. I have seen the other new ones being claimed for $1 Mill, but winner take the cash option of $700,000. So Im wondering if they first post the after tax amount and then once the game is released they change it to $1Million.
I saw this happen on another game before. I think it was Holiday Millions . Once the actual release date came it changed to a Top Prize of 1 Million.
I'm not sure if its a typo, or if they initially show the af

Which book should I buy ?
I think the horror stories might be true on some of the $5 books...Like our new Winner Take All...mainly
a rotten ticket I think. I couldn't imagine buying a whole book of them. I did find a $60 winner but the
other tickets I've tried make me think they are as junkie as the Pot O Luck...those are rotten in my
experience. 20x the Money, another $5 ticket here seems to be a teaser...when they first came out I got
a 5 symbol with a $5 amount below it...total: $25.00 I have found nothing

What If someone wins and doesn't invest at all .
I don't think you're seeing hate, so much as a consensus that not investing the money may suggest that the winner isn't making particularly smart choices. You also may be confused about what investing means, since you start by talking about putting the money in bank accounts. Just because it's called a savings account (or CD) doesn't mean it's not an investment.
Even if it isn't invested and never earns any interest, you're right that somebody who clears $10 million has a reasonably good chan

Sucessfully staying quiet?
First of all, my real name isn't Joker.....
Secondly, why in the world would my friend and co-worker for 8 years lie about such a thing? You don't know him from Adam, yet you doubt his story based on some tax calculation you made?
He's a down to earth guy, and has nothing to gain by telling me this. If anything, it makes him look bad, so there goes that theory of yours. He didn't have to tell me this. He could've easily said he won and that's all, but he trusts me and maybe felt a little g

When do the taxes officially hit you on a big win?
The lottery will subtract 25% for federal withholdings plus any applicable state tax depending on the state in question. Because it is $100 million, the winner of said prize would be responsible for 35% in federal taxes, meaning he or she would still owe the IRS the 10% that was not withheld from the winnings. However, because the earnings year would be 2011 since the prize was claimed in 2011, the remaining 10% would not be due until April 15, 2012.
Now let's complicate matters just a bit. L

How long would you wait before claiming your prize?
First--I believe it is for all states.
Second--if you take a copy of the ticket that has been validated by the lottery commission--most banks will allow you to borrow against the ticket--or they will open you a line of credit--remember that most states have the regulation that disbursement of winnings is made through automatic wire transfer to a bank--so when the lottery releases your money--they release it to a bank--presumably the one to which you are opening the line of credit--so tha

How long would you wait before claiming your prize?
I know that in OHIO, if you have a winning Jackpot or first tier prize ($200K +) for either PB or Mega, you must call the Oh Lottery Commission and arrange to have your ticket validated and then a ceremony check presented at some future date. First I would stop by the bank and make arrangements for a line of credit so that once the ceremony was over I could dissappear. Since I have been the face of the evictions from my elderly parents' rentals, I know that I would have a lot of enemies as well
