Can money buy happiness? Apparently yes.
>if money buys happiness, why is it that most wealthy people seem unhappy or unfulfilled?<Only in the movies, V-Dude.When I worked for that carpet cleaning company a few years ago I mostly cleaned the houses of the upper income bracket people. I didn't see a whole lot of them in the fetal position, moaning, rocking back and forth and crying about having too much money. Many years ago my aunt married a multimillionaire. They have a happy marriage and two well adjusted children. That artic

Another reason to remain anonymous
Good article, I like reading these stories if anything to learn from them and reflect on my own weaknesses. I imagine, well not often published by the media, there are good stories also. I think it's always very important to note a very good bible verse realted directly to the topic. II Thes. 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.Work can be any number of things; your own business, stocks, a job, we all need a reason to get

Lost and found? $1.4M lottery ticket winds up in court
Two notes about the above article....First, someone really needs to clue these reporters in that there is no such thing as a lump-sum payment fee . If you choose to take the cash option/lump sum/whatever you want to call it, you get what the lottery was going to put in the bank . They don't charge you a fee for taking it all at once, you just get less.Second, why would anyone sign a ticket once they bought it? You don't need to sign the ticket unless you win more than $600, and when you buy it

Whatever happened to? Very Strange!
As best as I can remember, from that newspaper article he had won numerous times on 3,4 and 5 balls. He hadn't won the big one yet, but hitting 5 ballsseveral times is pretty good. His letters to and from the UK lottery board were intriguing and his mathematics may not be totally exact but I do recall he went into great detail to explain it. Now he had a 2nd version of his software he was marketing(RED FLAG!!-MAYBE), and he was working on a a 3rd version. He was very concerned lottery officials

'Enough,' Bredesen warns lottery chief
You all may want to check out this article in the Tennessean today which is critical of Rebecca Paul's overstated accomplishments regarding the GA lottery. It also states that while ticket sales rose, monies to fund education did not rise at the same percentage sales did, and alluded to the fact that expenses were too high. (Remember all those slick TV ads they don't give away??????) Also other lottery directors were saying that other states ran their lotteries for less, salaries were not as

What do YOU think?
The drawing machines which use the 'solid rubber balls' would seem to be tamper proof. Even if the article were true, I don't see how injecting a tiny volume of a gas into 'celluloid balls' would have much, if any, affect on the draw outcome with such high volumes of air mixing the balls. Personally, I believe that all of the major state/national lotto drawings are totally random and completely honest. As a Powerball and Megabucks player, I'm thankful and amazed at how much time and effort go
