$790 MILLION: Fourth-largest lottery jackpot in history to be drawn Tuesday
Unbelievable that the official Mega Millions website has been down all night, since the draw time!
Lots of people on Twitter saying the site crashed , but that's not the case, given the error message displayed.
It actually points to whoever is running that website has misconfigured it, so it's not crashed because of traffic, but it's offline because someone hasn't figured out how they messed it up yet.
It's most likely that they were trying to put up one of those high traffic simple

definition of due, overdue and not due
The page has an error where they've switched the labels due and not due. If you don't believe me, look a the full table at that link and mentally switch the labels. The table is now coherent and consistent with their definitions, isn't it?
From experience I would bet it's a tiny typo on one line of code among a few thousand lines. Sometimes debugging code is like looking for a needle in a haystack. And little errors can propagate all over the place!
If you're a frequent user of that site

Mega Millions host calls wrong winning number during broadcast
Human error can still occur with computerized drawings because there still needs to be at least one human involved to manually input the draw results into the database. For security reasons, the draw machines are never connected to the lottery's network. California Lottery used to have some videos on their site that showed how they did all the computerized draws. Someone performs an action on a stand alone computer, and then the numbers are manually recorded, with several people around to witnes

I thought I heard 6 as well. Turns out that we were both correct.

Lotto America
Made an error in my date posting for the $7.22M Cash Value Draw..it's tonight(4-27)
Anyways..............I had the 6 15 on the last draw but had it with the 9, instead of the 3.
Still sticking with the 3 9 as the starballs for the next 3 or 4 draws.
Good luck kids

UPDATE: Hoosier Lottery pays out $1.78 million after Fast Play error produced 632 winning tickets
Nice to see some integrity here on the part of the Hoosier lottery.
We all know what assume spells, but I'd assume that IGT (I believe) would have to reimburse the lottery on their error. Probably buried in the contract somewhere.
$421=so much fun!!

Virginia - April 2022
It's running now. I'm pretty sure what happened is that I accidentally duplicated a line when I was doing hand workups on the Virginia numbers. It's easy to do, all it takes is accidentally hitting the F4 key. This is why I use 2 computers. I have a computer that I just use to update and maintain the databases. I NEVER do workups on that machine. I move the files to a backup media then restore them to the workup computer where I don't need to worry so much about the integrity of the data. I repe

Do the numbers really NOT hold any memory?
Physical balls? No.
A computer pseudo-random number generator program? Hard to say because there are many PRNG algorithms, many methods of seeding the particular algorithm. Ideally, each time the program is run the output should not depend on the previous output and the seed should come from a true-random source. But, there is always the factor of human error and negligence in programming. Maybe somebody out there with poor training in lottery security wrote a program that uses the previous o
