if you go back through past history on midday is usually less than 80 straight hits for each drawing for a buck And for evenings it's usually less than 200 straight hits for a dollar For both drawings that's crazy when you think of the tens of thousands of people that play both midday and evening

Good story Kate! I always keep my tickets in the same general area in a room in my house. If Ive won a prize ( under say 600 dollars) after the drawing I put that winning ticket in my wallet where I will carry to cash it at a store and put to my next ticket purchase. And I keep the losing tickets in to check the next day just in case the numbers drawn were *changed* overnight. Note: I've never won 600 dollars. ShagE

California has no state tax on lottery winnings so if the fix was in , it would make more sense the winning ticket would be sold in a state that deducts state taxes. Vermont would would profit over $100 million had the winning ticket been sold there. At one time I didn't play until the jackpot reached a certain level or when ticket sales showed it was likely there would be a winner. Now I start playing the drawing before it reaches $1 billion and continue playing until it's won. Considering
