Ohio649P for 11/30/02
IIRC, winners in Ohio (both 6/49 and Mega Millions) can choose cash AFTER they won, even on an ANNUITY ticket. A Mega Millions winner would have been foolish to want the 26 annual payments. However, given the difference in cash value percentages of Ohio Lotto (44%) vs Powerball (54%), whose annuity options each are 30 equal annual payments, it might be justifiable to want the Ohio 6/49 annuity. (Fortunately I don't live in or near Ohio.) The winner who had not come forward still can choose. Th

How True Todd !!
The headlines were different, but the body of each article was clear. the average player being a black woman was based on the first draft, which just included the instant tickets and the pick 3. The average player being a white male was based on the final draft, which included the powerball, white players tend to prefer the powerball, while black players prefer instant games. The average player being a black male was based on the final draft, after the results were adjusted due the the fact the

Lottery player/winner advice ?
Re the article posted this morning on financial advice upon winning: I've not commenting on the fact that the 60-day rule does not apply for all games where players have the choice of cash or annuity. Rather, the Mr Don Haisman mentioned in the story apparently is trying to say that most lottery players/winners should not choose the lump sum. I respectfully disagree of course. It must be remembered that the 30 payments in FL Lotto and in several other games (and Powerball starting next month)

The winners from that $331mil jackpot(Does anyone know?)
Todd, do you NOT see the sentence before that where I asked is $58 million the correct amount or not? Furthermore I did not say that anything was incorrect on your mainpage. I merely asked what is the right amount. I asked because I DID NOT KNOW what was right and what was wrong. Also, I'm not an idiot, I know those stories on your mainpage are from websites that are NOT yours. You gather them and post them here and I thank you for that because they're entertaining. Again, I wasn't insinuating an

Minute Lotto Warning
I think you are mixing up the sites that butler service lottery tickets for a fee and the free lotto games that consider your viewing a sponsors web site or spam as payment for a free play in their lottery.I list the ones I haven't heard anything bad about and have an article or two about playing them. I try to avoid the ones that draw their own numbers if they are a small cookie cutter type game. The bigger ones like freelotto.com and lycos seem ok. I list them if they are good whether they off

Bad bill introduced in North Carolina
Haha, I was just reading that article.. -- a Tax Me More Fund for people who want to voluntarily pay more taxes would be created in a bill filed by Sen. Jim Forrester, R-Gaston. The money would be mailed to the state treasurer and designated for any specified state program. For people who want to voluntarily pay more taxes ? I'm not against taxation, but people already pay too much taxes. Do they really think a lot of people will actually want to voluntarily pay more taxes? How about a Send A

About the "NEW" Big Game...
I read that article too, but things may not be as bad as all that. For example the odds of winning the jackpot in Biggame now is 1:76,275,360 and if 2 balls are added to the 36 golden balls the odds would change to 1:80,512,880 which is close to the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot (1:80,089,128). In spite of powerball higher odds, biggame has the highest recorded jackpot. It really depend on the lower prizes payout along with the odds that will make the game attractive. If the jackpot is o

Will R.I. Lottery win or lose in $1 billion IGT contract battle?
Is it a wise move that would keep more than 1,000 high-paying jobs in Rhode Island or just the latest example of a you gotta know a guy back-room deal?
Is the lottery giant IGT as Rhode Island as Del's lemonade or as British as Big Ben?
In short, is the proposed no-bid, $1-billion, 20-year extension of IGT's current 20-year gambling technology contract a solid win for the Rhode Island economy or an ill-advised sweetheart deal ?
As state lawmakers prepare to review the proposal this fall

Psychic predictions (I am getting results
I was so amazed at this article that I felt obligated to put the whole thing on the forum. It is worth copying and pasting and printing. It is a hard read as there are quantum concepts that are hard to swallow in some instances. Everybody should read this.I have since searched the term Zero point field and got over 3000 hits, so people are taking this field theory very seriously. It explains everything in life.EVERYTHING. Here you go...........................................The amazin
