Cash or Annunity and why
Only wanting to accept a lump sum no matter what is a very close-minded approach. It all depends on the individual's circumstances, and the size of the jackpot. Also with an annuity you do not have to worry about risky investments, or losing all your money. But if you accept cash you do, but you can also earn far more than the annuity will pay over time with interest. USA Mega adds lottery game start dates
I'm not aware of that (a single winner being able to chose partial cash and annuity payment) happening with any U.S. lottery game. It would seem to be contrary to the IRS regs.
