Great win skeptic. To this day, I've never won anything over $100 on any gold rush game and I've bought plenty of tickets. My favorite games were the Billion Dollar Blockbuster (despite difficulty scratching it), $200 Million Spectacular and $200K a Year for Life (I'm 33 and the life annuity would be life-changing). In all my years of playing lotteries I don't think I've ever seen this before. The same number drawn 3 days in a row in the same draw event. Wow. I'm sure a lot of heads at TELC are scratching right about now and there will be a lot of scrutiny on this next draw with the lovely RNG. Can someone please explain how this is possible with Play 4 drawings?
Maybe there's a logical explanation for this, but I sure can't think of one. In my state for each drawing usually there's no more than a handful of Play 4 tickets sold with all the numbers matching in the exact order (straight). Recently there was a drawing where more than 100 winning straight tickets were sold, and all 4 numbers were unique (no repeaters). However, when the EXACT SAME 4-digit number came in just a few years ago ... there were no straight winners whatsoever.

And some lotteries even go out of their way to publicize winners who wagered many dollars on the same pick 4 number.
