Monopoly Millionaires game
Minimum 6 picked per state, computerized random drawing. Basically pool all the valid entries from the system and tell it to choose X winners (state-by-state).
Maryland sold 186,438 tickets up until last Friday's drawing. I estimate about 200,000 until the second-chance cutoff yesterday. So even if all ~200,000 tickets were entered online and all were first-time entries (which is near impossible), your chances would be about 1 in 3589, assuming the yield figures I previously calculated are ac

Virginia: 11/1 - 11/30/2014
Last night marked 488 draws since the last time a trip (444) was drawn in the night draw on March 24th. AFAIK, this is the furthest out the trips have ever been in Virginia. Still, that's nothing compared with Nodda4me's Missing 2s from last summer. I'm not great with statistics, but, if I understand correctly, Nodda4me's Missing 2s (NM2s) were way more unlikely than where we are now with the missing trips. Again, I'm no good at stats, but, if I understand correctly, the trips would have to stay

Audit: Stores buying Michigan lottery tickets from players
How exactly did auditors determine the $509,211 was gambling winnings and how did they know it wasn't reported on the store owner's 1040?
The prizes that these owners were cashing were not little $500 prizes. If you read the rest of my post, you should have seen where I mentioned the average prize was about $3,000. Who knows how many little prizes the owner's cashed but didn't report. What they DO know is that lottery records showed prizes claimed by these owners that were not reported on the

Take5 NY
There are two sets of five numbers with the same amount of hits.
16, 20, 23, 32 36 have 33 hits for the year.
2, 10, 19, 28, 29 have 47 hits for the year.
There's a fair chance that one of them may produce one or two winning numbers tonite, and there's also a fair chance that either one of them could be joined by a sixth number. That'd be a rare T5 event.
If the 1 or 30 hit tonite, and 16, 20, 23, 32, 36 do not hit, then there'll be six numbers with 33 hits.
If the 4 or 6 hit toni

This makes no sense whatsoever- agree, disagree- what?
noise-gate, you and I have had this discussion before. You didn't seem to have any problems with California's parimutuel payouts back then. You even went out of your way to defend it. Hopefully, now you've finally seen the light.
Hitting 5 without the powerball or megaball is probably a once in a life time event, you should get at least a million dollars in my opinion.
Here are the threads where you didn't have any problems with California's paramutuel payouts:

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
shout-out to LottoMetro for sharing the info so far. I think he even has access to the same stuff I do!
That would be a correct assessment
Thank you for adding/repeating some interesting stuff. It should be pointed out that the lottery will be operating with a loss for the first few drawings given the sales they are projecting for the partial population to start. The number of Club prizes may in fact only increase by the minimum 2 for more draws (worse sales than expected), or may in fac

New Systems Forum just based on real stats and facts!
Let's assume folks playing digit games are knowledgeable about normal distribution with all its parameters, can the outcome of random event be predicted? I am trying to understand the intent of this thread, I get the sense of one side advocating for system based on 'Facts', but yet to give example of such system other than stating parametric percentiles( odds for singles, number repeating, years for str hit for p3,p4 ....etc). Is prediction for random events exact science? if yes, then this thre
