Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Oh no, I don't like what am hearing. You are new to the pool and you don't know all the rules. Don't know how many members make up the pool. That's scary.
It's always said great lottery pools have laid down rules that members sign against. It's like a legal binding contract.
If you don't how how many people are in the pool, how sure are you someone is not getting 5M when you are getting 1M?

would you play a multi country lottery?
I have bought multi country lottery tickets as part of a pool. The pool bought Euro Millions and Euro Jackpot tickets when there have been bonus draws with huge jackpots. The jackpots were well over $100 million and the odds are better than both Powerball and Mega Millions.

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
A bit of context for people who might not be aware. California's multiplier numbers do not work like the other states' do.
California divides the prize money derived from sales into 8 different buckets representing the 8 non-jackpot prize levels. Each bucket is its own prize pool that all the winners of that prize level share.
The multiplier number on each winner's ticket represents its share of that prize pool. So someone with a 2x on their ticket has 2 shares . A 5x multiplier has 5 sh

UK Lotto
I belong to a pool that plays Mega Millions and Powerball. The manager of the pool also has pools for UK Lotto. I have not participated in the pools but I see they often win. For example, they played last week and won more money than they spent. This is always a good thing.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I do not know how many people are in the pool. The pool is split up into shares where people can own multiple shares. I only have one share. Winning $1 million is good enough for me.
We are only playing 20 tickets per draw. This allows the pool to last a relatively long time. I joined the pool last year and it is still going.
I am not sure but maybe, the organizer will buy more tickets when the jackpot gets very large.
You are planning to spend over $300 in a single draw? That is a b

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I paid $20 to join. The pool buys tickets when the Powerball or Mega Millions is very large. The pool ends when it runs out of money.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Sound like you have done a lot of great research on the topic. If you are interested in joining the pool, I can put you in touch with the organizer. I suggest this for purely selfish reasons. If you join the pool, then you can analyze how it is organized and make suggestions. This would be good for everyone involved.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I have been wanting to start a lottery pool for PB/MM/other games for a long time now. But, as I am retired and do not have any office/work buddies any longer I have been am unable to locate enough people to make it feasible. I have no family close by and very little contact with anyone else these days, but no pity please, I am one happy individual with this 99% of the time.
I have spent quite a bit of time researching the subject and have sketched an outline (still very incomplete) of what

89 second prize winners for the powerball
Legally, each state runs their own game. The only difference between PB and an in-state draw game is that someone else (MUSL) draws the winning numbers, someone else (MUSL) collects the jackpot contribution of 68 cents per ticket, and someone else (MUSL) pays the jackpot. Everything else (playslips, ticket paper, second place prizes, etc.) is done by the state.
It's why the question is there enough money in the prize pool to pay all these second place prizes? is irrelevant. There is no prize

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Powerball jackpot was won in the April 29 draw with two winning tickets. There was only a 3.5% estimated chance the jackpot would be won.
This is Mega Millions chance to get way ahead and possibly set a new record. It appears unlikely the Powerball jackpot will catch up in this run.
When the most recent race started, I expected the next time my pool bought tickets it would be for Powerball. Now it appears the pool most likely be buying for Mega Millions. Looking forward to when the j
