Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Our pool has finally run out of money. We played a total of 35 draws - 18 Mega Millions draws and 17 Powerball draws. The pool started in September and ended with the Powerball draw on December 20. We won a few dollars here and there that helped extend the life of the pool. It was amazing there was always a large jackpot to play for close to 4 months.
A lot of fun and a lot of chances to become a millionaire for very little cost. So I joined the next pool. We have tickets for tonight's Powe

$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
I believe Wild Bill is just imagining that he is in a pool of 80 and his work doesn't mind all the time it takes up with a possible end result of everyone quitting the job destroying the company if they win. They should have won many, many more smaller prizes than he claims they do with that amount of tickets weekly. We had a pool at work once and it was just drawing one name out of a hat. That took over an hour to organize and collect the money weekly. Never mind trying to extract 10.00 from 80

$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
Thank you for that wealth of information! We have had tons of $2, $4, or $10 ticket winners over the many years and only won $50 3 times but never $100 under the old matrix and when the tickets were $1 rather Powerball or mega. Through out the years we started winning bunch of $4'ticket prizes or sometimes several $7 ticket prizes but never ever crossed pass $50. As far the return rate I appreciate you breaking that down but never ever got close to any $50k return rate so that should tell you so

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I just noticed there is a change in plans for our pool. The pool bought both Mega Millions and Powerball tickets this time. Mega Millions for Friday and Powerball for Saturday. That would really be something if the pool won both games on the same weekend. There would be one heck of an investigation.
The Mega Millions tickets had one 5 times multiplier and one 4 times multiplier. No multiplier option selected for the Powerball tickets.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Oh no, I don't like what am hearing. You are new to the pool and you don't know all the rules. Don't know how many members make up the pool. That's scary.
It's always said great lottery pools have laid down rules that members sign against. It's like a legal binding contract.
If you don't how how many people are in the pool, how sure are you someone is not getting 5M when you are getting 1M?
What happens if the relative buys a ticket and it wins and the relative keeps the winnings to

Office Pool concept
I'm looking to create an office pool, and there's a lot of avid lottery players. But I'm torn on how we should create this pool. Is it better to have a higher buy-in amount but provide a better payout odds if one of the tickets win?
Or, is it better to have a low buy-in amount, but the prizes will be split by 10,000 participants? (not sure if I would go that extreme, but definitely a possibility.) I would allow people to buy-in multiple times, but maybe there are some people who would only

would you play a multi country lottery?
I have bought multi country lottery tickets as part of a pool. The pool bought Euro Millions and Euro Jackpot tickets when there have been bonus draws with huge jackpots. The jackpots were well over $100 million and the odds are better than both Powerball and Mega Millions.

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
A bit of context for people who might not be aware. California's multiplier numbers do not work like the other states' do.
California divides the prize money derived from sales into 8 different buckets representing the 8 non-jackpot prize levels. Each bucket is its own prize pool that all the winners of that prize level share.
The multiplier number on each winner's ticket represents its share of that prize pool. So someone with a 2x on their ticket has 2 shares . A 5x multiplier has 5 sh

UK Lotto
I belong to a pool that plays Mega Millions and Powerball. The manager of the pool also has pools for UK Lotto. I have not participated in the pools but I see they often win. For example, they played last week and won more money than they spent. This is always a good thing.
