Florida Raffle 2026: What are the odds? The return of the Florida Lottery Raffle certainly caught my eye. I have thought about the raffle in years past, but did not realize it had been 20 years since the last one. It looks like they have re-vamped the format (multiple drawings instead of one drawing, multiple million-dollar prizes, all tickets purchased valid for all drawings.) My wife and I got about $100 in scratchers to do around Christmas, then took the $50 we won and bought 1 PA raffle ticket and $30 in scratchers. The raffle ticket brought nothing and I still have $16 in winnings off the scratchers to turn in. Will I buy another raffle ticket? Yep. And I'd have bought more this year but when I checked, it was sold out.

I've rethought my ticket buying strategy..... I decided to buy one raffle ticket per week in June. I'm gambling that there wont be a ticket buying frenzy during June. If there is a frenzy, no harm done. If there isn't one, I figured I'd be better off with more tickets in my hand than not. I stopped in a RaceTrack today and bought ticket number 2984XX. BTW I was shocked when I ordered one Florida Millionaire Raffle ticket and the clerk responded with You want MegaMillions? She had never sold

Per Florida Lottery, the Raffle sales weekly update is 190300 as of 4-24. We're 55 days in, so average daily sales are at 3460 per day, slightly under last week's 3540 average. So 3460 times 122 (total days of sales in the raffle) would equal 422,120 tickets sold. 640900 Tickets need to be sold just to fund all of the prizes.

Let's work this one from the back end. 640900 tickets need to be sold just to fund all prizes (so, does not includes costs incurred by the Lottery to set up the Raffle, or associated advertising, and does not include funding for education, which is the Lottery's raison d'etre.) 640900 minus 263272 leaves 377628 tickets needing to be sold by June 30, the last day to buy tickets (40 days from now.) 377628 divided by 40 equals an average of 9440 tickets need to

I too have had 'trouble' with what's being argued so passionately in this thread. When I lived in the Northeast, although I lived in New York State, I lived in close proximity to Pennsylvania. Every Fall The PA Lottery (for what I'm guessing is the last 20 years or more) holds their Millionaire Raffle. According to the raffles official rules, a maximum of 500,000 tickets can be sold. Does anybody know if any of the top prize winners of a million dollars in the current raffle will be able to remain anonymous? I won 40 bucks yesterday. I'm going to spend it on two millionaire raffle tickets. If I was ever so lucky to win one of the top prizes, I'd want to claim it anonymously, but I'm not sure that can happen. The PA raffle logic is based on the number of tickets sold, so if there is a sellout, the odds are correctly stated as 125,000 to 1. (500,000 tickets, 4 top prizes) Now, if there are less tickets sold, only sold numbers go into the raffle... if only half sell, then the possible outcomes are reduced... to 62,500 to 1 (odds) (250,000 tickets, 4 top prizes) They put these tickets that win the weekly $50,000 back in for the big prize drawing, but actually you are correct, the possible outcom

Yup. I had my brother who still lives in New York buy some raffle tickets for me. I bought 5 and they cost $100. He and his wife were here in Florida over the holidays and gave them to me. No luck at all, but I'm a raffle guy and I'd buy them again without any hesitation. G5
