Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
On Page 3 of this thread I said, I will probably play when the CASH VALUE is at $500,000,000 + , referring to the new $5 MM ticket price. Now, the PB is playing their gormless games...SO....If this UK thing happens ?? I will most likely develop the same starting point--$500 Million CASH VALUE. PB leadership has shot themselves in the foot(IMHO) with their failing to restart the jackpot at $40 Million due to Covid mess in 2020-2022. That medical problem has been subsided now for 3+ years but the

Windows 98 and Window ME: Getting the best possible experience
Windows 98 and Window ME are such old operating systems that Microsoft stopped all support and security patches for them years ago. Nevertheless, there are still a good number of computers out there using one of those operating systems, usually because the computer is many years old, and because it still functions, its owner continues to use it. If you are the user of Windows 98 or Window ME, you have no doubt seen one of the Upgrade your browser banners at the top of the page as you brows

Is there any method or system that can an predict the first digit that will fall in Pick 3
The following from page 9 of the document spells out how they select which ball sets are used for which live drawing: The back-up public witness will then be asked to make the random ball set selections. Seventeen (17) sets of ten (10) balls, each numbered 0-9, will be contained in cases labeled A1 through A17 (or the current ball set security codes in service). The back-up witness, by means of a random drawing utilizing the envelope containing seventeen cards designated A1 through A17 (or t

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I suspected that although people are upset about the price increase for Mega Millions tickets, if the jackpot reaches $1 Billion, almost every lottery player will buy at least one MM ticket. One thing that's absolutely certain is that every one of the people who said they'll never play at $5 per ticket is a lottery player, and lottery players play lotteries. Sales are starting to grow and it's probably not because of the people who aren't really lottery players but buy the rare ticket when

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
Congratulations to the Arizona Lottery for instituting this rule. This is exactly what we have been advocating for the past year, when the situation in Texas starting cropping up, and officials there wrongly blamed courier services. We strongly advocated for a bulk ticket limit to solve all these issues back in October of 2024: https://www.lotterypost.com/news/352288 Instead of doing that, the Texas Lottery doubled down on wrongly blaming couriers and banned them . The predictable resul

Are heads starting to roll?
The Michigan lottery commissioner abruptly resigned yesterday. There was a decline in revenue in 2024 and I'm wondering if 2025 revenue is either flat or declining. If so does it have anything to do with the Mega Millions? I'm sure the LP is digging into it and will have a story soon. Maybe it's just a coincidence that the resignation happened so quickly after the person at Mega Millions was changed?

Data breach at lottery tech vendor Brightstar exposes personal info of over 100,000 individuals
Just happened to click on a greyed out area of the Kentucky lottery website. Said 18 people who won a trip in 2017 2018 Wheel of Fortune scratch tickets were possibly affected. Starting my journey with the VA (28 years too late) was griping all the security steps one has to take, through a private vendor, after reading this well worth it. Historically don't pay much attention to companies that I have small investments in, and sure enough IGT now Brightstar.

$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
It's fine if the pool organizer spends the time on it after work. It's also no big deal if it's a government agency, since they don't do much work anyway LOL. If I ran a small business with a lottery pool, I would make the business a participant. That way, should the pool win the jackpot, the business will get a check that should more than make up for departing employees. $8 million (minus taxes) is a lot of money, but not everyone would quit their job immediately. Some people like their

Would a pick 6 be viable?
I thought Kicker was tied to one of the other Ohio games--wasn't sure which. Michigan and Virginia had Kicker games at one point as well, but both discontinued long ago. Virginia's, I remember, ended in the late 1990s. When I was first starting to follow the lottery, I wondered why states even had both a 3-ball and a 4-ball numbers game. Why not just a Pick-4 with the option of playing the front 3 or back 3? Or why not a Pick 6 with options for Pick 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6?

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
There has been a lot of focus on how slowly the Mega Millions jackpot is growing. It appears many do not understand the jackpot has only been growing by the minimum $10 million per draw in order for sales to fully support the jackpot. It takes longer than usual because of the unusually large starting jackpot of $50 million. This is the largest starting jackpot of any lottery game in the whole world. There is no game anywhere in the world that has a starting jackpot that large. So naturally, it w
