A new keno being offered by the New Jersey Lottery Commission essentially expands casino-style gaming outside the resort, according to legislation introduced by Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo, D-Atlantic. In the proposed legislation, Mazzeo seeks to block the state lottery from introducing Quick Draw, a keno-style game for the lottery. Earlier this month the state lottery announced 400 locations across the state will soon offer the game. The State Lottery is grossly overstepping their authority

Odds of a Mississippi Lottery still long, but may be improving
Democratic Rep. Alyce Clarke, who has represented Jackson in the Mississippi Legislature since 1985, is persistent. She has been an author of legislation to create a lottery in Mississippi every session since 2003. This year, as often is the case, she has two bills filed, one to create a lottery after a statewide vote and another to simply enact the lottery after the passage of her legislation. Clarke believes lottery revenue could be used to fund a college scholarship program as it is in

Alabama Gov. says lottery opponents 'should be ashamed of themselves'
I could care less about Gov. Bentley's sex scandal. wording on the legislation should be worked on (pronto) and get the lottery on the ballot to be voted on this November. I do believe getting the wording right is what they are being paid for. I am only interested in the good of our great state.

When proposing a state lottery, many legislators were guilty of exaggerating the effect of lottery revenues and lots of people assumed a lottery could be a fix all solution especially for education. It's doubtful there is a state lottery with a substantial decrease in revenues or a state legislation that expects lottery revenues to fix budget problems .

$136M Powerball winner sued for 'dooring' cyclist
It is not US Laws that are attacking motorists, it is the bicycle advocates in certain states that create bad legislation. I have read that vision zero some of the bicycle advocates are peddling around, it has a vision of zero traffic fatalities. Vision zero has no plans to educate non-drivers in their 2 year action plan. As for the netherlands, the setup they have can stay there. The bicycle coalition wants motorists to be subservient to bicyclists, what was that equal rights thing about th
