Yes, Virginia

Then it went to 6/49 (and added 'Virginia' to it's name). Then just a year later, in an unprecedented move, they made their in-state lotto game a multi-state lotto game.

North Dakota.
i think north dakota only started a lottery so they could sell powerball tickets. they are barely a lottery. if i were in charge of the MUSL, i would make sure that the lottery offers scratch-off tckets, as well as at least 3 in-state games, one of them being a jackpot game in order to get in. too many states are relying too much on multi-state games.think about it. EVERY mega-millions state offers another jackpot game that has potential to offer a multi-million dollar jackpot.

CA's Multi-State Game.
yeah. they really need a set starting jackpot level, but a multi-state game would really be a nice thing for FL. any idiot can tell that the players want a multi-state game. the FL lotto gets hit too often to build up a huge jackpot.

CA
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on August 29, 2004exactly. i hate the fact that CA's super lotto plus is pretty much the only in-state lotto game that can compete with the multi-state games. Why do you hate that fact? What do you mean by compete with? What does one lottery have to do with another? Why is it the ONLY Lotto game that can compete?

CA's Multi-State Game.
If its going to be powerball, then they will definitely have to change the game (in my opinion).Every big state, so far, has joined Mega Millions. I hope they join Mega Millions if they are going to join a multi-state game.

pick 5 programs/analysis
There's a lot of work being done on Pick 5 games - MegaMillions and PowerBall are both Pick 5 games, with the addition of a bonus ball. CA's Fantasy 5 is a 5/39 game - amongst others using that format is GA's Fantasy 5, IL's Little Lotto, MD's Bonus Match 5, NY's Take 5, PA's Cash 5 and the multi-state Hot Lotto game (with a bonus ball). Not sure of what other software and/or analysis you need.....

LottoSouth
remember that florida doesn't participate in a multi-state game, and therefore the only shot at becoming a millionaire is florida lotto. once florida joins a multi-state game, sales will go down for florida lotto.

Prediction Winners for 5/28/2004
Bob:Multi-state games, including the tri-state games, are counted as one game only. You don't win once for each state. However, Iowa and Illinois, even though they use the same numbers, are not multi-state games, and therefore are treated as different games. If you choose to bet both you have the ability to win double, but you also have the ability to lose double.I have decided to treat Massachusetts as a Pick 4 game only. This was discussed at length in another thread.

Powerball ready to roll today in N.D.
i think the MUSL should require a state to operate at least one in-state game to be allowed in. ND is only offering multi-state games, and more states are working on starting lotteries simply to operate multi-state games only. also, a state offering its own in-state game could bring in players from other states.
