The possibilities for fraud in RNG games
The auditors appear to have been on a coffee break three days in a row or more.... memory eludes me... in KS, MO, Nebraska? One of those cornfield states a while back.
No, it wasn't rigged.
But if it had been the auditors still wouldn't have caught it.

The possibilities for fraud in RNG games
It is an irrefutable argument that the POSSIBILITY of fraud exists a lot more in a random number computer draw than in a bunch of ping pong balls bouncing around in a chamber. Both types of draws are overseen by independent auditing companies.
The ping pong game has been rigged before, the perpetrators were caught and to this day that particular state's lottery is tainted from that fraud.
The question was the POSSIBILITY of doing a fraud. It's a lot easier to have a computer pick the des

Agent provacateurs
Jack: Those are all very interesting and perfectly valid thoughts. You raise some thoughtful questions, and I would love to hear what others have to say on this topic. In a perfect world, people from the state lotteries would make themselves heard on this issue, if only to comfort those who feel they are too distant and mysterious.
lottolaughs: Are you suggesting that the lotteries somehow pre-determine which numbers are going to be drawn? I suppose if you want to think in terms of what is

The Meaning of Random Drawing
What if the mass mind of players actually controls the numbers drawn? That might shoot the whole lottery pre and post test theory out the window.
I read somewhere that RNG's were used to test mind over matter and that there was a slight enough variance in testing to determine that it could. That doesn't even get into someone tweaking their controlling software which is why I'm four squarely against using RNG's..
However, I believe those tests are done to satisfy the government as w

how powerball drawing takes place
From what I've seen they show just a few seconds of some of the balls floating around before they pop up one at a time. Some actually look like they are weighted down to keep from coming up. It's on and over before you can blink your eyes. As it first comes on a ball is already popping up. They don't let you see all the balls floating around for a little while before they start popping up. I am suspicious of this and read different articles on it. They know what numbers that have been sold

is lottery Fake?
I would worry more about the gasoline you pump being rigged than I would any lottery. A tank of gas isn't quite as much as hitting the jackpot but more gas stations are caught rigging the price/gallons than State lotteries.
But then again, they are all computerized too! At least in this area.
Although they cheated long before computers ever came along.

if your state switched would you play?
the History Channel once ran a special on a guy who got people to play slots in vegas for him (he worked for the gambling commission) with a system he rigged into the machines, play an exact sequence of bets and a jackpot would result at a preset time... then he figured out the code to keno, they got caught breaking the bank in Atlantic City because he registered in the hotel with his real name, and the casino security chief remembered him as the one who tested their keno software...
I think

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
its absolutely feasible for a ball drawing to be rigged. Someone mentioned the PA scandel and that in itself is proof of it actually happening. If your asking in the current day and age, yes its possible but is it an allegation to be made...doubtful. The debate will remain whether either computer pick or machine balls are any better. They either produce a winning combination or they don't, and that is the bottom line.
I do suspect that some lottery retailers are corrupt or less then ethical i

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
Since I've been such a vocal critic of the Hoosier Lottery I'll state for the record that while I absolutely believe the Hoosier Lottery is rigged (and I too have stopped playing all of their games) I absolutely believe that Powerball is on the up and up. I still play Powerball in Indiana because it is not under the control of the Hoosier Lottery. I do have some issues with Powerball...mostly their ridiculous odds, their back loaded annuity and the phony way they advertise jackpot values...but

Fate, Destiny, Karma or...
All states reserve the right to limit number selections...works like this (they do it in PA also)there can be so many bets on a particular number before the payout exceeds the income for the state... they know this number and will stop sales before that number is reached. try playing 777 in PA after 5pm... good luck!others that sell out are dates of significance9-1-1 on september 11th1-2-2-5 at christmasmost trips on pick3 and quads on pick4 have the occasional sellout, one retailer used to keep
