Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
Nope... It'z NOT ALLOWED... A Free Ticket win (2 correct numbers on 1 line) here in Ga. is redeemable ONLY as a Terminal issued QP... Which STINKS..!! Georgia needs to git wit the modern times, like Ohio, and give its player $1. for 2 correct numbers! ... it's their way of cutting down on further interaction with serious playaz.... there'z some Playa in Ga. that goez by da name of Stat$talker , ...ya may've heard ov'im..!! ... Australian couple hid $100,000 lottery ticket in a safe for eight months
I thought Australian Lottery winners could remain anonymous and paid no taxes on the winnings. We have a few bills we want to pay first But they still waited eight months to collect? Some of the multi-million U.S. winners collected on the first day they could, their identity was made known, and 24% was deducted in federal taxes along with any state tax. Is it just me or am I missing the obvious reason they waited so long to collect.

Idaho ends Powerball in state, fearing foreign participation
Was there any news about this? Huge surprise! That would be like 3 Californias joining with 30 million in Aus and 60 million in UK. You're gonna see those jackpots grow a lot faster. If that wire act is repealed Americans might be able to buy in UK and be anonymous regardless of where they live - let that sink in.

One Michigan lottery ticket wins $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot
Wrong!!! In Michigan the winners of the Multi-state games can not remain anonymous. Only Michigan games over $10,000 wins can opt out. Does NOT apply to the multistate games.

How to stay anonymous in states with no anonyminity
Changing your name requires posting legal notices, so there's always a chance that somebody will find your original identity. That information on their website is outdated, anyway. Shortly after a NH court ruling said that the names of lottery winners weren't required to be released under the state's Right to Know laws a winner in PA was allowed to remain anonymous. IIRC the person used either trust or an LLC and a lottery spokesperson said that based on the NH court ruling they felt that a PA c

Australian woman sues lottery after losing a seven-year-old ticket she claims is a winner
The US could adapt to Australian norms, here's' one; Lottery Winning Taxes for Australia The winner takes it all in Australia. Lottery winnings and other forms of gambling are not taxed at all. The only people that pay income taxes are those who punt every day and are considered professional gamblers. Another is the NP option on the play slops, No Publicity. Even though there are more anonymous states now it's still a good idea. Since when is NYC a state?

Australian grandmother wins lottery using late husband's numbers
Congratulations sweet Grandma on your big win. It was a double feel good story in that folks still visited Mr. Patel's downsized shop due to a fire. Maybe later will look up this lottery...sounds very hard to win (?) with two supplemental numbers. Anonymous and tax free, oh the land of OZ.

The purr-fect holiday gift arrives early for Illinois woman
Two pretty kitties earn lottery player a pretty penny By Kate Northrop The cat's out of the bag two kitties might have helped one woman win a $1,180 Illinois Lottery Pick 4 prize. An anonymous woman from the Chicago suburbs has been playing the lottery for the past decade, using everyday events and happenings around her to conjure up numbers to play. Most recently, she took inspiration from the two cats she adopted Eustace, a gray Tabby, and Denzel, a domestic Short Hair. I like to

N.C. man rewards friend with new car in return for lucky winning lottery numbers
You do not knowingly play someone else's numbers. there are many people who know other people's numbers and play them but to have the gall to call him up and demand his numbers especially that 5th one is beyond reproach. All he had to do was say no if he didn't want his numbers played. If he can't just say no, he could easily come up with an excuse. I don't really have regular numbers. There was another winner. Maybe his friend did play his own numbers. Can they stay anonymous in NC?

"Lottery Lawyer" Jason Kurland charged with robbing jackpot winners of millions
Maybe, I don't know how it can be avoided. She figures prominently in this case. Nothing may happen to Mr. Kurland as he is the keeper of those kind of secrets. In regard to the $1.5 Billion winner, because the tax revenue benefit to the state of South Carolina was so great, and as the media reported, state officials didn t want to see that gravy train just disappear, I would bet that the SC Lottery officials broke their own state law and identified the Jackpot Winner from the convenie
