Canadian grandmother wins $55 million Lotto Max jackpot
LOL
I thought the same thing following the advice to keep it quiet
I wish my state allowed being anonymous -
Congrats to the winner for that big win.

Every provincial lottery corporation in Canada requires winners to participate in a publicity photo shoot showing their face, their name and their municipality.
but there can be exceptions...

So happy for them!
Does NZ allow for tax free winnings?

Coronavirus impacting North Carolina lottery sales
Don't know we have asked and the stores Sheetz , Speedway , etc were told they were getting machines early 2019 but here we are still not able to play all we need to without bothering the clerk . Personally I think its b/c not everyone has a DL here or ID but I would suggest that NC implement a code that a player can use if they want to remain anonymous . NC should reduce the amount of money paid to the store recoup more profit forthe winning tickets past $600 save that money...at the end of the

Powerball to lower jackpot starting point and increases due to plunge in sales
Thank you Stack 47. Maybe they will go anonymous with all those 'winners' that just say where the ticket was purchased and nothing else?
So after this one is finally won and it goes to $20 million and $2 million with each no jackpot drawing I will do my best to purchase one ticket semi-annually since it'll take forever to get to $100 million, like about 20 weeks or so. Then my regular purchasing would commence.
The new PB is not fair and think they are being greedy. cut off ones nose to sp

Michigan man claims $3.4M Lotto 47 jackpot
l would hope this 68 year old adds skydiving to his new bucket list.
He better not say far too dangerous at his age. Need l remind this chap..
President George HW Bush did a Solo jump at 75 years of age. Another at 90 despite being confined to a wheelchair....truly a man with stones!
Show the world you have a pair Mr Anonymous.

The world may never know who won a $202 million lottery jackpot
Math time... $202 minus taxes. Fed, State, City taxes when collecting over 30 years.
Cash Value is $142.2 million but the Feds get 37%. $142.2 X .63 = $89,586,000.00
$89.6 million is a nice amount but it is not $202 million.
We shall see if granting anonymity will hurt sales and jackpots. When another billion-dollar jackpot is presented, anonymous States may see an increase is sales.

_______ is a scam artist
I have removed the member's name because that is really unfair to post about someone when you really can't see the whole picture of something. I am not saying that you do or don't have a point about this or any other member, but I am just saying this is not the way to go about doing it. (i.e., Public shaming without hard evidence.)
If you suspect someone of being a scam artist, you can feel free to report them to me.

Nebraska weighing anonymity for lottery winners
She said have your Financial Adviser simply tell them NO!
And how much does the financial advisor charge every time they tell somebody No! ? There's a slim chance a financial advisor would only charge you a rate based on the hourly cost of the secretary or receptionist that's perfectly capable of telling people no , but at $100 an hour it would be in the advisor's self interest to personally explain in detail why the answer is no.
A better strategy, whether it's the result of staying ano
